NEW CLIP FOR "IN THE NAME OF THE WHISPER" UNLEASHED!

Portuguese death metal sensation Skinning, have released a new videoclip for the track "In the name of the whisper" from their new album "Slaves of Insanity"

Skinning where formed in December 2011 in Portugal (Guimarães). The band was formed by Luís Barroso (Drums in Skinning, Daemogorgon and ex: Bloody Tears, Hacksaw, Vrna, Koltum e Infernal Kingdom) and Vítor Lopes (Vocals and Guitar - Skinning and PosMortiis).

From 22nd to 23rd of December, the band records their first track with the title of “Left to Die” in the 213 Studio by the producer Bruno Silva. On the 25th of December 2011 this song was published online at the bands page.

“Left to Die” works as promotion and example of the band musical definition and direction. In March of 2012, Baal Quinhones (Bass - Skinning and Daemogorgon) has accepted the invitation to become the bands bassist.

In March 2012 Skinning records their first EP – Beneath the Scars (that contains 5 original themes of destruction) produced and mastered by Bruno Silva in 213 Studios.

In May 2014 the band has released their debut release "Cerebral Mutilation" via Raising Legends label, this album had a great feedback both from the media and listeners. This has allowed the band to go on tour and give several shows in their own country!

The bands Death Metal sound has its influences from bands like: Vader, Krisiun, Aeon, Cannibal Corpse, Behemoth, Decapitated, Morbid Angel, Deicide…

"Slaves of Insanity" was produced by André Matos (Heavenwood, Web, Equaleft, Tales For The Unspoken) and mixed by Bruno Silva (Secrecy, Sonneillon, Templarios do Rock) and it is one of the greatest releases to come out via Raising Legends label in 2016.

On the 27th of December Skinning have unleashed their new album single “In the name of the Whisper”. The videoclip for this song was made by Guilherme Henriques, responsible among other works for the latest Belphegor videoclip "Black Winged Torment"!

"(...) Have any of you played in other bands?
Yes I have played in several other bands. To name a few, Devian (together with Erik Legion and Emil Dragutinovic that used to play in Marduk), Suicidal Seduction, still playing in the slumbering project Aktiv Dödshjälp (together with Roberth Karlsson from Scar Symmetry and Facebreaker). I also played bass in Dark Funeral for a few years but my main focus now is Zornheym. (...)

What made you decide to make this music?
For a decade I have wanted to do a real epic project with a clear red thread in it and very bombastic. But I have never really played together with people who have shared my vision for it. So about like 1 1/2 years ago I started slowly composing the foundation to the first two songs and this year people started showing an interested in joining me on this new musical path. I have had huge urge to compose and record my own songs the last two years, it eventually took over and put me on the path that I'm roaming right now and I have never been more pleased musically.

What are your songs about?
We're a concept band. Imagine like a hybrid between King Diamond and Tobias Sammet's metal opera, but more extreme and more background story behind the different stories within the frame story. What the concept/story exactly is, will be reveled in time.(...)"

ATHERA LEAVES SUSPERIA!

Norwegian Heavy / Thrash Metallers Susperia have just announced the departure of their singer Athera, the band commented as it follows:

"As you all know, Athera has left the band. We are still brothers and very good friends.
We wish him all the best in the future.

The new Susperia album is almost done and we have to say that we are very exiting about the new album. It gives us goose bumps when listening through all the songs. It's going to be raw as fuck!
This album will be a mix between Predominance and Unlimited, and for the first time in many years we feel that the music is back to where it should be.

New vocalist will be official after trying out a few hand picked singers." Susperia

The departing singer Athera has commented the day before:

"Ladies and gentlemen. I bid you farewell. At least for a good while. Considering my health situation and lack of progress contributing anything to my beloved band the last few years I have decided to pull myself out of the mix and let the guys continue on without me. We remain the best of friends and this is not a breakup due to any bad circumstances. It's simply me realizing I cannot deliver what you as fans and the band expects of me anymore. And I do not want to hold this brilliant band back anymore. They deserve better and you guys deserve to hear more new music. It is with regret and sadness I now do this, but trust me, it is the best for all parties involved. I am left with a strange feeling. Susperia has been with me for almost half my life and it is my family. So this hurts. But for me staying in the band any further would hurt you guys and the band even more. I don't know what will happen in the future, if they will get a new inspired vocalist or if Memnock will do the vocals (I vote YEAH!!) But something good will come of this in the form of a new album, or maybe even two! Maybe I'll pull the Bruce Dickinson/Rob Halford and make a return one day to the band. But for now I am out guys. I thank you so much for all the support through the years. From the bottom of my broken heart. Sorry we've been away for so long. Susperia will be back. One way or another. All my love and gratefulness." - Athera
