ABYSSIC is a unique
symbiosis of atmospheric approaches in funeral death/doom, with black and prog
influences. The signature is enhanced by orchestrations with Mellotron, Minimoog,
and upright bass.
ABYSSIC is a result of
a collaboration between Memnock (Susperia), Elvorn (Susperia), and
André Aaslie (Funeral, Images At Twilight, Gromth, Profane Burial), and
together with Asgeir Mickelson (ex-Borknagar, Ihsahn), they recorded the
debut album "A Winter's Tale" in February 2016 for Osmose Productions.
Later in 2016, Tjodalv (Susperia, ex-Dimmu Borgir, Old Man's Child) and
Makhashanah (AKA Henriette Bordvik - Asagraum [live], ex-Sirenia) joined
ABYSSIC, and together
with Memnock, Elvorn, and Aaslie, they bring you the
ABYSSIC darkness with
album #2, "High The Memory".

Hailing from Poland, the Epic Black / Death tyrants of
DEVILISH
IMPRESSIONS will release their new album, 'The I', on September
22nd, 2017 via
Lifeforce
Records.
The album features special guest appearances by MERCYFUL FATE / KING DIAMOND’s
guitarist Mike Wead and by Norway’s dark metal masters AETERNUS’
vocalist / guitarist Ares. Other artists who also contributed to the
record are shamanic ritual meditative experimental act BOĚ N and Impressive
Art Studio’s owner Przemyslaw Nowak who came up with interludes,
additional background tunes and effects.
Recorded at various studios, including Dobra12 (drums) and Icaros
Studio (guitars) the disc was mixed and mastered at Impressive Art Studio
by Przemyslaw Nowak who also handled vocals recording sessions and
guitars’ re-amping. The album’s artwork, design and layout were created by

With magnificent visual artistry in the form of cover art by Pedro Sena - Lordigan and a concept expanding graphic novel illustrated by Art by Bring; with every chapter telling more of the gruesome tales behind each song.

Comments the band’s mastermind, Quazarre:
“You’ll definitely see a huge distance between the opening tracks of
‘Adventvs’ and those from the ‘Eritis sicvt Devs’ era, especially on
a technical level. But hey, that’s the whole point as we’d like to leave you
with a glimpse into what Devilish Impressions was doing in the years it
was created and compare it to what we do presently. And although ‘Eritis …’
was in a way created to pay homage to all those acts that so strongly
influenced our creation, it was also a brave reach out and search for ways to
the band’s very individual expression. As for the new songs, not only we have
redefined the ideas behind our sonic path but have also come up with a different
approach toward the sound and production. We’ve introduced 7-strings guitars and
reduced synthesizers to the absolute minimum. Moreover, in order not to spoil a
natural groove of the drums, for the first time ever we've decided to use no
triggers at all.”
The band has worked with different sound engineers and used several recording
studios to produce the new songs, incl. the famous Hertz Studio (drums,
Wieslawski Bros), Icaros Studio (guitars), Flumen Studio (additional synth / fx)
and Sound Division Studio (vocals; guitars’ re-amping), where it was also
mixed and mastered by Arkadiusz Malczewski (Behemoth, Decapitated, Hate
etc.).
Also appearing on the record are Contemplatron – overtone chanting, dril
bu (ritual Tibetan hand bell) and Chinese Chau gong as well as Wojciech
‘Flumen’ Kostrzewa (Asgaard) – additional synth / fx.
‘Eritis sicvt Devs’, originally recorded by Paweł Wolczyk at D.J.
Wolkos 666 Studio, has been digitally re-mastered at the beginning of 2014.
‘Adventvs’ layout as well as the band’s newest merchandise designs by
Black Moon Design.
In support to the ‘Adventvs’ premiere Devilish Impressions will
