BERZERKER LEGION was founded in 2016 by guitarists Tomas Elofsson (Hypocrisy) and Alwin Zuur (Asphyx) with a vision to create death metal of the most belligerent quality, they recruited a line-up of solid well-known musicians consisting of James Stewart (Vader) on drums, Jonny Pettersson (Wombbath) on vocals and Fredrik Isaksson (Dark Funeral) on bass to complete the Legion.

Alwin Zuur (guitars/songwriter) comments: "During the recent years Tomas and I met each other at shows and festivals regularly. Much of our conversations were about music and styles. During these meetings we found out that we really had a lot of common musical interests .

Music wise our debut album "Obliterate the Weak" displays the perfect balance between brutality, melody and harmony. Being a fan of the early 90’s Swedish Gothenburg style, with bands like At The Gates, Eucharist, A Canorous Quintet, as well as being a die-hard fan of brutal old school death metal style with bands like Bolt Thrower, Obituary, I have always wanted to write songs showing a mix of such different death metal genres.

With our new album "Chaos Will Reign" we have further developed ourselves in our typical musical mix of melody and brutality. "Chaos Will Reign" sounds more professional, complete, massive and powerful thanks to Jonas Kjellgren's production. It has become the logical successor, a huge step forward compared to our debut album "Obliterate the Weak".

Saying the album songs transpire massively produced invigorating heavy death metal is an understatement."

Cathartic black metal outfit GAEREA have just released their disturbing torture music video experience for the latest album "Mirage" bonus track "Dormant"!

Would you submit yourself to human torture to go beyond your limits to expressing art?
Voluntary suffering for the greater goal in pursuit of artistic excellence is what one of the members of cathartic black metal band GAEREA went through for the visualisation of "Dormant".

The video (recorded by the great Claudio Marino, distinguished for working with giants like BEHEMOTH, WATAIN, SHINING) simply can’t be classified as a music video to give visualisation to the song. It’s an 8 minute excruciating compilation of being waterboarded, trapped in a cycle of unending pain, with each passing moment feeling like an eternity, time becomes the cruellest enemy.

"Dormant" is a ghost track, a song only available on the (sold out) Media book from their recently released album “Mirage”. Out of billions of people, a mere group of just 1349 holds ownership of this exceptional track.

To mark the start of their US tour with WOLFS IN THE THRONE ROOM and BLACK BRAID in October 2023, the band is releasing "Dormant" for all fans to let their minds wander freely and share their suffering.

THE BRINGER OF DOOM

ABYSSIC is a unique symbiosis of atmospheric approaches in funeral death/doom, with black and prog influences. The signature is enhanced by orchestrations with Mellotron, Minimoog and Upright Bass.

ABYSSIC is a result of a collaboration between Memnock (Susperia), Elvorn (Susperia) and André Aaslie (Funeral, Images At Twilight, Gromth & Profane Burial) and together with Asgeir Mickelson (Ex-Borknagar, Ihsahn) they recorded the debut album 'A Winter's Tale' in February 2016 (Osmose Productions).

Later 2016 Tjodalv (Susperia, Ex-Dimmu Borgir, Old Man`s Child) and Makhashanah (Henriette Bordvik) (Asagraum (Live), Ex-Sirenia) joined ABYSSIC, and together with Memnock, Elvorn and Aaslie they bring you the ABYSSIC darkness with album nr 2, "High The Memory".







"BROUGHT FORTH IN INIQUITY"DETAILS:

Orchestral Doom / Death metal dark entities ABYSSIC will release their 3rd album entitled "Brought Forth In Iniquity" on October 28th through Osmose Productions.

The album art was created once again by Mitchell Nolte Art and Illustration for ABYSSIC, exclusively.

Finally, ABYSSIC's third opus is here, and the long wait is over... The music is much more violent, faster, and the lyrics are even more haunting than on the last two albums. The orchestration is beyond everything they have done so far and is even more beautiful than ever. So, in other words, "Brought Forth in Iniquity" is faster and more brutal and more beautiful than ever. All we can say is: Expect the unexpected.
