GWYDION REVEALS DETAILS FROM THEIR UPCOMING SELF-TITLED ALBUM!

Folk Viking Metal warriors GWYDION will release their brand new and self-titled album on November 13th through Art Gates Records worldwide!

The cover art has been created by Joe A. Arca (Dragonfly, Noctem, Coffeinne ...) and represents all of Gwydion history, in this case it shows the Battle of Trees (Cad Goddeu) where Gwydion animates the trees of the forest to fight as his army.

Comment from the band about the new album: "25 years have passed, and we are eager to release this ultimate masterpiece to our fans! This album sums everything you want to hear from the band, we have put everything we had on this one, it's a big album with almost 74 minutes!! It's epic, melodic, dramatic, heroic, everything you expect from Gwydion! This will also have many surprises including several special guests that you will be amazed!!
So Triskelion Horde, get yourselves ready because at 13th of November we march together and fight until the end!"

The nine-song effort was mixed and mastered by bass player Anders Backelin (Lord Belial, Death Tyrant) at Armageddon Recordings.

“North” is moving away from tight structural extreme music and wants to bring back the soul of the old greats. The record is an epic journey across blackened death metal with the band's very own, unique flare to it.

The stunning artwork was created by Juanjo Castellano Rosado (UNLEASHED, The Black Dahlia Murder, VARATHRON, Vomitory, a.o.).

The band explains: “We envisioned ourselves to create something that was lost after the 90’s era, embracing the freedom of musical structures and boundaries to create something which speaks from within. This album is a vision of what we believe was missing from that era with a purpose to bring back the soul of the old greats. This album is the creation from many years of hardships, translated and formed to art through musical expression. As entities, as humans, we have been put aside to bury the raging feelings from within and never to express them. We understood that not expressing ourselves would be our demise. As a dam breaking, flooding with energy, this was created to tell the story of our lives and to express ourselves through art. The album artwork and the songs themselves tells a story about an Internal journey, of ominous visions through dreams, touching the subjects of ancient wisdoms long forgotten, cursed bloodlines”.

BLOT - Releases their Second Album "Howl from the North"!

BLOT - RELEASES THEIR SECOND ALBUM "HOWL FROM THE NORTH"!

Norwegian Viking black metallers BLOT releases their second album, “Howl from the North”, digitally June 19th, and on vinyl by Burning Skull Records in September.

Their first album, “Ilddyrking”, received great reviews both in Norway and abroad, and landed them slots at festivals like Midgardsblot, Southern DisComfort, Black Night, as well as they co-headlined Thorhammerfest in Sao Paulo.

The music is black metal with strong influences from traditional Viking/folk music, and they have been compared to bands such as Dissection, Bathory, Taake and other great bands within the genre.

“Howl from the North” continues the journey musically from “Ilddyrking”, and so far the feedback has been great.
