finish recording their second, yet untitled new album!
The band comments: "Bendler has finished up the choir
recordings with Lars "Lerta" Palmqvist (Scar Symmetry) and sent off all
the session files to our choir conductor Scucca. Scucca is now going to go through the files and edit them before sending
them off to Wing Studios. And THEN, the mixing can finally begin for
real!

ZORNHEYM Swedish Symphonic extreme metal horror addicts are recording
their second album and follow up to the critically acclaimed "Where hatred
dwells and darkness reigns"!
Yesterday Zorn and Bendler had another session, working on vocal
arrangements. In December Bendler will head back to Wing Studios
to lay down more vocal tracks, Bendler nailed already the main vocals to
2 1/2 songs!

ZORNHEYM STARTED RECORDING THE NEW ALBUM WITH THEIR NEW DRUMMER! [2019.02.26]
ZORNHEYM Swedish Symphonic extreme metal horror addicts have started
recording their second album over Wing Studios (Diabolical, Demonical,
October Tide, etc.) with their new drummer Steve Pygmalion.
The band comments about the new drummer: "Firstly, if you have seen the
band live you might have noticed an unintroduced member holding down the drums
since our first live show.
That mysterious, rhythmic beast is known as Steve
Pygmalion and we are proud to announce we are permanently chaining him
to his from drum throne and admitting him to the asylum... with no hope of
release!
(...) To celebrate this, Steve Pygmalion has spent this past weekend
hammering down all drum tracks in Wing Studios."
The band comments on the departure of their former drummer Angst:
"We would like to thank Angst for his contributions and time with us.
He was clear from the beginning that he would not be assuming a full-time part
in the band but his stellar work on the first album is massively appreciated. We

The band commented on this: "This past Saturday, Sverker Widgren
finished the mastering of our debut album "Where Hatred Dwells and Darkness
Reigns"! We celebrated this with inviting some people to a private
prelistening session of the album at Wing Studios and it was a great
success! Thanks to every one who attended!

DEMONICAL
AND SINGER SVERKER WIDGREN PART WAYS! [2017.04.03]
Swedish death metal masters DEMONICAL have parted ways with their singer and well known extreme
metal guru Sverker Widgren (DIABOLICAL,
Wing Studios).
Sverker who has been the band singer since 2008 has comented on this:
"In an attempt to avoid speculation, I'd like to inform anyone interested that
the concert we did with Demonical last month was my last appearance with
the band. I spent 9 years singing in this band and we did three albums, some
EP's s and a few hundered shows during this period and I learned to know many
great persons.
Some will wonder why I won't take part anymore, so out of respect to the people
that follow the band I'll (try to) give a short explanation.
When I joined the band in 2008 after the debut album, I was running my studio
together with another person, meaning that I basically worked 20 days, had 20
days off, worked 20 days etc. This obviously meant that I had plenty of time to
spend outside the studio.
Some years ago I got myself a bigger facility, Wing Studios, and started
to operate it myself, meaning that I personally handle basically all recording,
mixing, mastering etc that is done here. This obviously meant spending more time
in the studio since it is usually fully booked. In addition to this, my original
band DIABOLICAL also started to get more recognition, more shows etc
which also gradually started to consume more time.
Everybody who knows me or have ever worked with me knows that the work I do with
the productions at Wing Studios is my top priority overall, and in
combination with the increasing activities with Diabolical, I simply
havent been able to put enough effort into Demonical during the last two or
three years.
When we now look at 2017 and I go through my recording schedule in the studio
and realize that the recording and touring plans that we have with Diabolical
for 2017 and 2018 are the most extended plans that we have ever had since
the band was formed 21 years ago, it would simply not do anyone any favours if I
would take part in the process of making another album with Demonical now.
This is something that was clear to both me and the guys in the band after some
conversations we had a couple of months back.
I didn't "jump the ship" though! I actually planned to do the concerts in
Finland this month and I was originally expecting the gigs in July to be my last
trip with the boys, but since they already have a guy to replace me and he will
be ready for those shows, it was decided that we should make this change already
now. Since we also had offers to tour both Japan and Eastern Europe in July with
Diabolical, I think we all feel that the time to make this change is now
rather than later.
I probably shouldn't announce his name, but the new vocalist is also a good
friend of mine and is in my opinion an awesome person with a great voice, so no
worries there. Demonical have had 15 different permanent or session
members over the last years but the sound has stayed pretty much the same and I
know that it will remain the same in the future too.
I would have loved to list all the people I learned to know during our chaotic
trips but I promised to keep this message short which has already failed badly.
And besides, my journey around the globe obviously continues, just not with
Demonical. But in short: thanks to all the above mentioned past and present
guys in the band for all the great memories, and thanks to everyone who
supported Demonical through these years and will continue to support the
band in the future. I look forward to see you people around again soon!

the singer of a thousand voices Bendler(Facebreaker, Engulfing Rage) the top quality drummer Angst
(Diabolical) and the devilish music arranger and guitarist Scucca(Encrowned). "A Silent God" is part of a complete new horror concept brought fourth by
Zornheym. A complex and extensive work of excellence that is the
materialisation of Zorn's long time deviant Master-plan to create a whole

Since the beginning Zornheym horror story concept is intended to be much more than just

Once you compare "A Silent God" with the debut single "The Opposed"
you can notice that on this new track the vocals take an even more important part
on it, variations from Bendler's
darkest unclean vocals to the clean melodic ones done
by the guest musician Cain Cressall (Cain Cressall, The Amenta) in
addition to the almost omnipresent full choir create an elaborate vocal
structure! Apart from this vocal dynamism the song keeps the
bands essence within its refined and strong orchestral structures featuring a live string section performed by Dies Iona Ensemble,

Again a virtuously inspired guitar
solo by Zorn enhances the whole melody into another genius musical peak! In fact "A
Silent God" track has such a heavy melodic balance that quickly becomes

Let me take you now deeper into this horror scenario! Zornheim is an asylum
for the criminally insane, the epicentre of all Zornheym narrative. Each
songs talks about an inmate from this mental institution. Each one of these
deranged and demented inmates has a horror tale of it's own to be told! This is
a highly detailed and demanding concept that has put the band to the test! All
of this horrid scenarios are graphically reproduced on its own comic strip
drawn

Anu Bring (Märvel, Evil-lÿn, Satan’s fall). I must sayI am more than impressed with all the details behind each song/story! This is a HUGE work! "The Opposed" single, who's cover art was drawn by Jens
Rydén (Marduk, Thyrfing), particularly tells us the tale of Edward
van Rheingold (Zornheim inmate No. ZH000A27), an heir to a noble family who
suffers from Diprosopus and has tendencies for self-mutilation! Since a
child he has isolated himself due to his malignant abnormal growth of his skull,
this has caused Edward a series of instigating paranoia of a second self inner
communication, this deranged behaviour has made him a quite anti-social person
since early age! He was committed to the asylum in his late adolescence once his
self-mutilations resulted on the extreme deformation of his body leaving
him with deep permanent scars! Still his musical endeavours continue to offer
him some moments of relief as his sole possession is his cello. However these
moments are short-lived before he reverts back to his continual raving and
screams of anguish. This suicidal maniac was committed to the asylum for the
rest of his living days!
This piece of extreme metal symphonic art was recorded at Wing Studios
(Sweden) by the
veteran sound magician Sverker Widgren (Demonical, Diabolical, October Tide,
IXXI, Etc.). The ending result is massive and full of musical layers
that fit in perfection on each other resulting on an ultimate symphonic musical
experience! The brilliant string orchestra by Dies Iona Ensembly and
choirs by among other Lars "Lerta" Palmqvist (Scar Symmetry) blend
