FENRIS BIOGRAPHY

Originally formed in 1997, Fenris has a 14 year history of combining thunderous viking metal with scorching black metal. At times blindingly fast, sometimes atmospheric, but always melodic and
dynamic.

With strong roots in Nordic and Germanic mythology, and some of the lyrics in their mother tongue, the mood set is that of ancient peoples, their hopes and beliefs and their wars and hardships. To date,
two albums have been released: 'Offerings to the Hunger' (2001) and 'Ordeal' (2005), the last of which was an unsigned release.

Currently Fenris is busy writing songs for their upcoming album.

Here we are to present and review "Antithetical" the new CD from Portuguese Extreme Metal masters Malevolence! The third and yet the best album of the bands career, without a doubt one of the best metal albums to come out from Portuguese lands. A great technical and progressive piece of extreme metal no doubt! Carlos Cariano and its team have surely achieved a colossal piece on this musical genre! An album for adepts of bands such as Samael, Rotting Christ, Meshuggah, Decapitated, Psycroptic, Morbid Angel, Emperor (latest stage) among many others!
"Antithetical" sure puts Portugal back in the map of Extreme Metal references, a great work from Malevolence, a work that shall ensure everyone that there are allot more quality metal bands in Portugal beside the well known Moonspell, a band that back in time has recruited the services of Malevolence bassist Aires! A must in every technical/progressive death metal fan collection, a venomous work that puts the band where it belongs!
As Mankind falls into ambiguous values, slowly slithers into the darkest pits of empty and hollow existence, a life without a true meaning. Living without true values of worth will make you no better than a common beast! Make your stand against human banal behaviour and make your life your own!

Pertaining to ANTITHETICAL, the Anti (against) + Thesis (position), as a figure of speech (mainly used by the authors of the Baroque period; style of the epoch known as the art of conflict) acknowledge opposition towards the relative thesis expressed. The band:
MALEVOLENCE Portuguese extreme progressive masters have unleashed their third and best album on their careers by the title of "Antithetical".
For those who don't know the band yet, here goes some short description:
The band has been created way back in 1994 by the creative individual mind of Carlos Cariano and are currently in their nineteenth year of existence whilst propelling ahead as a fiercely independent extreme metal act. Since their birth and release, after release, the band has received loads of great critics from the media and fans, the highlight was the 2nd release "Martyrialized" [1999], an album recorded on Fredman Studios (Sweden - Dimmu Borgir, In Flames, Arch Enemy, etc.) that allowed the band to establish themselves as one of the best Portuguese metal acts, receiving great critics and sharing stages in and outside Portugal with bands such as Cradle of Filth, Behemoth, Marduk, Moonspeel, Avulsed, etc. After several years of absence and with this new release, they will surely be brought back to their rightful place in the Extreme Metal scene!

The new album musically:
With "Antithetical" Malevolence present us a totally new and updated formula, allot more venomous and brutal than on previous works, in all with a total "chainsaw guts-fucked" demented aura. "Antithetical" is a great development from their previous "full-length" album, pushing the band forwards in extreme metal. Malevolence became a band deeply into an allot more demanding form of metal, extreme and fast but yet progressive and technical, with it, pushing the band-members skills and talent to their limits. The finished work sets a mark on Portuguese metal scene as one of the best pieces of the genre to come out from Portuguese lands, proving that there are allot more quality extreme metal bands from Lusitanian lands beside the well known Moonspell!
"Antithetical" is an album that shall please the fans of bands like Samael, Rotting Christ, Meshuggah, Decapitated, Psycroptic, Morbid Angel, Emperor (latest stage) among many others!
The new work is a sophisticated, complex, psycho corrosive and technically progressive metal experience. An ambitious third release, aiming to make a stand and set a mark into today's days Metal music. It's hard to label the new sound of Malevolence so better enjoy it's technical, modern, avant-garde, rebel structures, all of this in a truly demanding piece of metal art!
 
The band members and album production:
On "Antithetical" every band-member is pushed to it's limits, Carlos Cariano, the bands mentor long been architecting this outstanding as well as complex metal piece, his guitar and vocal work are at top of what has been done on the field, the pounding bass lines by Aires Pereira (also on Moonspell) prove that he is among the best Portuguese bass players, the Keyboard / Programming by Paulo Pereira as well as the additional guitar work by Fred Noel are a perfect fit into "Antithetical" demands. Last but not least, no one better than Dirk Verbeuren (Soilwork, The Devin Townsend Project, Warrel Dane,...) to fullfill the dynamicly demanding drum work, without a doubt this album adds another tight and brilliant performance to his outstanding drumers career!
The production, mix and mastering of this work are another highlight, another great work done by V. Santura (Tryptykon, Obscura, Dark Fortress, Pestilence,...) in Landshut, Germany at Woodhouse Studio between the 14th and 23rd of March 2012. Honestly the sound couldn't get much better than it is, a perfect match to the demanding sound that the album sure requires, elite extreme metal sound!

The album highlights:
"Antithetical" is a pretty organic and dynamic album where it's hard to pick up tracks that will detach allot from each other, yet I must say that the tracks that sure reveal Malevolence in their best shape are tracks like the first one by the title of "Slithering", a brutally powerful track to best introduce you to this album wicked experience, quickly followed by the "Cult of the Everlasting" an epic nonconformist yet melodic track that keeps the intoxicating brutal identity of the band at it's best. Another track that will work out your entrails with a chainsaw is "Devoured Unlimited", a damn strong track that shall pierce your ears with such decadent malevolence. The title track "Antithetical" is probably the best tracks of the album, an apocalyptic hybrid track, with a very own identity, a damn epic progressive and technical song, taking the album concept to it's limits! "Exocortex Momentum" is another great ear-catching track, within it a great classic guitar solo is unveiled, a pure moment of clarity in this mind corrosive album so full of contrasts and mind-blowing musical structures!

The Epilog:
In all "Antithetical" as yet the name inspires, presents itself as an album that makes a stand against the common/usual musical banality! This rebel dynamism as well as brutal demanding sound sure prove that Malevolence have set a mark and stand tall on extreme metal grounds, proving that elite extreme metal is also being played over Portuguese lands, all of this, with the best quality venomous sound and top-skilled musicians!
A must-have album for adepts of extreme and progressive metal! One of the most ambitious releases to come out from Lusitanian lands as well as one of the hardest to categorize! A huge step forwards that may put Malevolence on their rightful belonging place as a cult band in extreme metal universe!
The album artwork by KKStructures sure adds a perfect match identity and design to all "Antithetical" conceptual ideals!
Mankind sinks into human ambiguous values, slowly we all crawl into the abyss of a hollow existence, life becomes nothing more than a slithering passage, fake, monochromatic.... slave or Master it's your choice! Make your stand, mark your position and raise your values to reach out for your own life's meaning!

In the meantime the band’s working on their new album. On a different approach toward the sound comments Devilish Impressions’ mainman, Quazarre:

“Seeing the band being slowly labeled in a way we have no strict or definitive connections with, we've decided to redefine the ideas behind our sonic path. That’s why we shall not trigger the drums at all. Also the guitar sound has changed, simply due to the fact the new stuff has been nailed with a 7-strings. Moreover, we've reduced the virtual instruments (synthesizers) to the absolute minimum.”

In return you're going to be surprised with other means of artistic expression. The band has joined forces with a ritual dark ambient project called Contemplatron for the recording sessions of overtone chanting and additional instruments, such as dril bu (ritual Tibetan hand bell) and Chinese Chau gong.

‘Simulacra’, the band’s latest opus up to date, nominated for a 2012 METAL STORM AWARD was voted one of the Best Melodic Black Metal / Metalgaze Album.

FACEBREAKER BIOGRAPHY

Facebreaker were formed in 1999, following a conversation between Janne, Roberth, Mikael and Jonas. They had similar music tastes and decided to start a brutal and straight-forward metal band. A few rehearsal-sessions later they added lead guitarist Janos to their line-up. Facebreakers first demo "Use Your Fist" was recorded at a local studio in the beginning of the new millennium.

In March 2001 they went back to the studio to record a promo demo called "Hate and Anger". 2002 U.K. based Rage of Achilles Records got hold of their promo and offered the band a deal. A Rage of Achilles compilation album called "Conquest For The Empire" was out in April, featuring Facebreaker along with other new signings on the label. In September Janos quit the band due to lack of time. Fortunately they knew a guitar-player named Mika and a line-up change took place.

In June 2003 Facebreaker’s promo demo "Hate and Anger" was released on seven-inch vinyl. In July the band entered Black Lounge Studios to record their first full-length album "Bloodred Hell". "Boodred Hell" was released in the beginning of 2004. It achieved great reviews and feedback all around the world. Unfortunately Rage Of Achilles went out of business somewhere between late 2004 and early 2005 and "Bloodred Hell" was never given the right amount of exposure it deserved.

Without a record-deal Facebreaker made a new promo demo and started to work on new material. Facebreaker got several offers from interested labels but finally choose to work with Singapore based Pulverised Records. 2007a new record-deal was closed with Pulverised Records and in July the band went back to Jonas Kjellgrens Black Lounge Studios to record their second full-length album "Dead Rotten and Hungry". 2008 Facebreaker released "Dead Rotten and Hungry" through Pulverised Records. The album is being licensed to Cyclone Empire for a limited edit. vinyl release. Facebreaker plays Party San Open Air in Germany and is getting enthusiastic feedback.

Facebreaker did their first European tour in 2009 and an amazing show at the With Full Force-Open Air Festival in Germany in front of more than 10,000 people. In September, “Bloodred Hell” is being re-released by Cyclone Empire with additional bonus tracks. A new worldwide record deal was signed with Cyclone Empire at the end of 2009.

On the first of January 2010 they started to record their third studio album called ”INFECTED”. This time they choose to work with Jonas Kjellgren at Black Lounge Studios and Peter Tägtgren at ABYSS studios.

“INFECTED” was released in October that same year. The release was followed by gigs and festivals all around Europe, and they did a massive show at the mighty Summer Breeze festival in 2011.

In 2012 they started to work on their upcoming fourth album “DEDICATED TO THE FLESH” and in January 2013 they entered Mr Plec’s The Panic Room Studios to record the drums. The rest was recorded in Slowly Rotting Studios and Crypt of Death Studios in their hometown Finspång and in Mars they went back to The Panic Room to do the mix and mastering. The result speaks for it self, a maximum assault of zombie death metal anger. Released in Europe 28.06.2013 through Cyclone Empire Records.

UM FESTIVAL QUE CHEGOU PARA FICAR!
A ‘dar cartas’ desde 2010, o Santa Maria Summer Fest (SMSF) já provou que é um dos pontos de passagem do underground da música extrema nacional. Situado na pequena cidade de Beja, o festival ajuda a promover este tipo de cultura na vasta região do Alentejo. Começou no ano 2010 como nome de Anibeja Metalfest, uma pequena edição com 4 bandas que foi bem recebida entre as pessoas da cidade, e rapidamente cresceu para algo maior. Em 2011, o festival mudou de nome para o actual e desde então que se tem revelado uma excelente oferta no nosso país, apresentando a cada ano uma diversdade eclética de bandas dentro do Metal, Rock e Punk, sempre com o bónus de ser um festival para todos (até 2013 com entrada livre). Em 2013 a afluência foi surpreendente, com a adição de bandas como DOOM (UK), PROCESS OF GUILT, VxPxOxAxAxWxAxMxC (AT) e GWYDION, o Anfiteatro Exterior da Casa da Cultura de Beja esteve muito bem composto, apresentando uma excelente moldura humana (praticamente cheio no dia em que actuaram os DOOM). O festival não tem quaisquer fins lucrativos e apresenta uma causa social adoptada desde a sua 2ª edição: primeiro de apoio às associações da cidade de Beja, e em segundo lugar o apoio à Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa e a outras instituições locais. Em 2014 a organização promete um cartaz sólido, diverso e certamente extremo!

CULTURMAIS – A ASSOCIAÇÃO JUVENIL QUE ORGANIZA O SMSF
Durante as suas 4 primeiras edições, o SMSF foi organizado pela Junta de Freguesia de Santa Maria da Feira de Beja, porém, na sua 5ª edição, a organização ficará a cargo da Associação Juvenil CulturMais, criada propositadamente tendo em vista a continuidade do festival. A CulturMais tem como fim a promoção e divulgação de eventos culturais, nomeadamente música, cinema, teatro, exposições, etc., relativamente aos quais juntará uma vertente de apoio social a diversas instituições, sendo a sua área de intervenção predominantemente Beja, podendo contudo estender-se a outras zonas do distrito e até do país.

O FESTIVAL DE MÚSICA PESADA ONDE A TROIKA NÃO MANDA NADA OU O FESTIVAL ANTI-CRISE / ANTI-TROIKA – UMA REFORMULAÇÃO
Simpáticamente, os festivaleiros atribuíram estes epítetos ao festival. É pois intenção da organização que os mesmos continuem a fazer sentido, contudo, se por um lado se corre o risco de os apoios serem menores, por outro, a qualidade do cartaz, bem como de tudo quanto envolve o festival, vai aumentando. Logo, os custos acrescem. Por esses motivos, a organização fixou um preço de bilhetes altamente competitivo e relativamente ao qual ficarão agradávelmente surpreendidos. Estes preços serão anunciados em breve.

A FESTIVAL WITH HISTORY! IT CAME TO STAY!
Born in 2010, Santa Maria Summer Fest (SMSF) has proven itself to be one of the main festivals in the Portuguese Extreme Music Scene. Located in the small city of Beja, the festival helps promote the extreme music culture in the vast region of the Alentejo. It evolved from 4 bands in its first year into something much bigger, with 19 bands being present in its 4th edition. Its first year had the name of "Anibeja Metalfest", but on its second edition, the name was changed to Santa Maria Summer Fest and since then it has been revealing itself to be an excelent offer in Portugal, presenting itself each year with a vast, ecletic choice of bands within the Metal, Rock and Punk genres, always with the bonus of being economically available for just about everyone (with free entrance up to its 4th edition). In 2013, Beja was full of people coming to the festival, with the presence of bands such as DOOM (UK), PROCESS OF GUILT, VxPxOxAxAxWxAxMxC (AT) and GWYDION, the SMSF venue was packed, especially in the day DOOM played. The festival has no means to proit, and since its 2nd edition it has been supporting social causes: firstly, support to local
associations and secondly, support to the Portuguese Red Cross and other social institutions. For 2014, the SMSF Crew promises a solid, diverse and certainly extreme bill!

CULTURMAIS – THE YOUTH ASSOCIATION THAT ORGANIZES SMSF
During its first 4 editions, SMSF was organized by the local municipality of Santa Maria da Feira, Beja, however, on its 5th edition, the festival will be passed onto
the CulturMais Youth Association, created in view of giving continuation to the SMSF legacy. CulturMais has the objective of producing and promoting cultural events, such as music, cinema, theatre, exhibitions, etc., to which a social cause is added. Its main area of effect is Beja, however, CulturMais also extends itself to other areas of the Alentejo region and even of its country.

THE ANTI-CRISIS FESTIVAL – A REFORMULATION
The SMSF festival-goers have named the event as the “Anti-Crisis Festival”, due to its free entrance policy. It is the intention of the organization that SMSF continues to be the “Anti-Crisis Festival”, however, on the one hand, they have the risk of the monetary support being less every year, and on the other hand, they want to make the festival’s quality grow bigger and bigger, so the organization has decided to have friendly ticket prices in the 5th edition, relatively to which the festival-goers will be satisfied. Those prices will be announced soon.

DIABOLICAL BIOGRAPHY:

Ever since DIABOLICAL was formed in Sundsvall, Sweden, in 1996 the band has caused confusion among the narrow-minded, constantly progressing, refusing to do the expected. Already with their early efforts "Deserts of Desolation" (mini album, 2000) and "Synergy" (2001) DIABOLICAL stood out as something different from the death metal bands coming up at the time, representing something unwilling to be categorized easily. The reception from fans and media was very good, resulting in a lot of coverage in major metal press at the time.

Following the success of the second full-length album "A Thousand Deaths" (2002) the band toured Europe several times in 2002-03 with AMON AMARTH, VOMITORY and DEFLESHED among others, co-headlined Open Hell festival (2002) and Kaltenbach Open Air (2003) and played several other festivals as well. The albums were later re-released in South America, and both albums were released in the USA as well.

2004-2008 the band only did few live appearances mainly due to Widgren’s intense and increasing work schedule producing other bands at his Necromorbus Studio.

But in 2008, after several years of record label related problems, DIABOLICAL returned with full force and delivered a milestone in their discography; taking their innovative death metal a huge step further they plunged the listener into the darkest corners of the human mind, bringing restrained aggression and cravings for vengeance to life in "The Gallery of Bleeding Art". The album received brilliant reviews and was followed by two small but very successful headline tours though Europe.

In January 2011 "Ars Vitae" was released, containing 17 tracks from different parts of the band's career. The newest material was recorded at Necromorbus Studio in 2010, and was again produced by founding band-member Sverker Widgren. The band did several tours between 2010 and 2011 in Europe and Russia in support of "Ars Vitae".

In 2012 an announcement was made that a new album was in the making. Entitled "Neogenesis" it stands out as something truly unique. The album raises the bar for concept albums as it apart from being a music album also is a novel. Uniting every song with a chapter of the book the music, lyrics, storytelling and philiosphy of "Neogenesis" blends together to create a profound experience that will surely leave a deep impression on the listener. "Neogenesis" will be released on the 27th of September 2013.

DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS BIOGRAPHY

Despite having only two albums under their belt Devilish Impressions quickly managed to put their name out there. Critically acclaimed records and intense touring along with some of the biggest names onto the metal scene made them one of the most promising acts on the European map of extreme music. After a row of personal problems that eventually caused several line-up changes and temporary stage absence, the band strikes back with the brand new opus called “Simulacra” and is
now ready to take the scene by storm again.

Considered as one of Poland’s leading and most innovative modern black / death metal acts Devilish Impressions officially started in 2000 as a three-piece, with founding singer / guitarist Quazarre remaining the only member of the original line-up. Marking their presence with the 45-minutes-long “Eritis sicut Deus; Verbum Diaboli Manet in Aeternum; Vox Vespertilio Act I – Moon Var Dies Irae”, self-released in 2002, the band began the process of shaping up its own spirit and self-consciousness, the long-time-hard work on what would later evolve into the epic, extreme music phenomenon as the band is being defined nowadays...

2005 saw them recording “Plurima Mortis Imago”, released in September 2006 on the London-based Conquer Records. The video for the song “SataniChaoSymphony” was shot in London and two months later Devilish Impressions hits the road along with AETERNUS as part of the European “Ageless Void Tour”. In April 2007 they land a direct support slot on MARDUK’s “Swords In The East” Eastern European run. After the successful tours, in May 2007 the group enters Studio X for the 3-monthslong recording session of their second full-length album “Diabolicanos – Act III: Armageddon”. While the record was being mastered by Andy Classen at Stage One Studio,

Devilish Impressions appears at Red Alert Festival in the Crimea, accompanying such acts as SUFFOCATION and VADER. Autumn 2007 sees Devilish Impressions shooting the video for the song “Har-Magedon”, set to promote the „Diabolicanos…” album. At the end of the year, the band sets off for the “Verbum Diaboli Tour”, their first ever headlining run across the Eastern European countries.
The “Diabolicanos...” album, released in January 2008 again on Conquer Records, was widely praised in the international metal press and gave Devilish Impressions the opportunity to open for BEHEMOTH and SUICIDE SILENCE on “The Apostasy European Tour”, and then embark with DISMEMBER for the “UK, Ireland and Northern Ireland Tour”. Meanwhile the group was invited for selected shows of WACKEN ROAD SHOW 2008 yet, due to abovementioned tours having been booked earlier, they eventually managed to join the WRS bill, OVERKILL, TRISTANIA, SAMAEL and ENSLAVED, for a show in Kiev only.

In May 2008 the album comes out in Poland licensed to Empire Records. The same month sees Devilish Impressions joining forces with their home country-mates HATE for their first time ever Polish invasion named “Rebel Angels Tour” being forced to drop off from the tour’s last date, as they had earlier been booked for the special show with SATYRICON in Ukraine.
The summer of 2008 included the band's appearance at Pro Rock Festival while coheadlining with RAGE and at Metal Heads Mission Festival with bands like MOONSPELL, GORGOROTH and SAMAEL to name but a few.

After finishing over a half-year-long touring cycle in support to the “Diabolicanos…” album, Devilish Impressions decide to continue their crusade, despite facing many problems on both, professional and personal levels, leading to further shifts in their line-up and temporary stage absence.

In the middle of 2009, Quazarre began to compose on what would later become the “Diabolicanos...” successor, introducing even more of a thrash and heavy metal influences in the song-writing process, and thus injecting a new dimension of brutality and catchiness in Devilish Impressions’ music. Increasing the use of clean vocals and further development of a melodic side of the new songs, made their sound even more of an epic character, sound that eventually turn into something the band themselves would describe as ‘MUSIC for the EXTREME experiMENTAL generation ONLY’.

In the second half of 2010 Devilish Impressions enters few recording studios, incl. Studio X and Hertz Studio in order to produce their very best opus up-to-date named “Simulacra”. The long-lasting recording session backed up by session synth appearances of Flumen (ASGAARD) and Lestath (METransmissionAL), as well as special guests incl. Orion (BEHEMOTH, VESANIA), Jacek Grecki (LOST SOUL) and Roman (LECTER), resulted in extremely sharp and massive sound of the album, that along with the new songs’ outstanding craftsmanship, breath-taking artworks and lyrical concept based on works of the world’s famous poets makes the “Simulacra” record one of the 2012 must-have metal offers.

Here we are to present and review the hilarious piece of happy death / grindcore art by the Portuguese party demons Serrabulho. This absolutely crazy and wicked debut album goes by the suggestive title of "Ass Troubles", a must-have piece in every Grinders collection, an album aiming for a good pack of laughs and fun along it's listening! "Ass Troubles" is an absolute tasteless, perverted, sick and demented but yet jolly "in-your-face" album, it sure has all to please any party Grinder! An album that will put a smile in the face of fans from bands like Gut, Jig-Ai, Gronibard, Haemorrhage, Rumpeprop, Lividity, among others!
Get ready to enjoy some serious ass troubles while listening to this disgusting, ill-natured, sick piece of grind-art, hehe I am sure you will laugh your asses out while listening to this short but intense piece!

The band:
For those yet unfamiliar with these crazy critters from Vila Real - Portugal ,Serrabulho are an absolutely wicked happy death / grindcore band, one of our Portuguese finest examples on this genre, counting with ToKa (ex-Holocausto Canibal) on the vocals. You sure couldn't pick anyone better to raise such top-quality band on Portuguese lands!
They play fast grindcore aiming for some good laughs, a natural-born party band for adepts of bands such as Gut, Jig-Ai, Gronibard, Haemorrhage, Rumpeprop, Lividity, among many others! A must-check band for party-animals with a total perverted taste for fast music and riffs that will hook you up to every jolly wicked song!
Since their founding year in 2010 they have impressed with their crazy live performances, leaving no one indifferent to their music and attitude, even people who aren't so much into grindcore at all. The energy and the comic behaviour renewed in every new show sure brings everybody into Serrabulho party shows! It's impossible to be dull and bored on their concerts!

The new album musically:
"Ass Troubles" is impressively the debut release of Serrabulho Portuguese party grinders. With this album they seem to have been years on the field and grinding their asses up since ages ago, the frenetic energy, the know-how, all this mature sound with a very "old-kid" party attitude proves that Serrabulho are an obligatory band on every show where you wish to amuse the audience, combining local "Pimba music" (Portuguese danceable romantic naughty music) and cartoons tunes, all this with the add of the most extreme fast death / grindcore.
It's impossible to be indifferent to Serrabulho music, Grinder or not, you will enjoy this good-mood making release. "Ass Troubles" is fast, happy, catchy and will surely make you listen to it on and on, singing along with the songs! If that aren't enough reasons to get this release, then the wicked lyrics, perverted cover art by Marta Peneda and naughty song titles in many bad-languages make a perfect fit and wrap-up to the bands concept!

The band members and album production:
Serrabulho work pretty much as a whole, the front-man ToKa is a damn well known Grinder in the Portuguese scene, former Holocausto Canibal singer who's very dear to our legion of metal fans, his experience and natural party-animal behaviour sure captivates every metal-head attention, his growls, grunts and squeaks together with Paulo's high tone vocals sure work awesome on this release. Paulo's riff hooks, and demented guitar work sure give all the right dose of aggression to this release, all this with the great pounding bass of Guilhermino and the brutal drum work by Ivan.
The production that was done by the bass player Guilhermino Martins and Serrabulho, at Blind & Lost Studios (Stª Marta de Penaguião, Portugal) is just about perfect to present the band at it's best on it's debut, a smashing work of death / gindcore!

The album track highlights:
Grindcore albums where meant to be short and intense, Serrabulho sure take this literally on their debut, from the starting track "Atomic Fart" to the last "I'm full of this shit" the band unleashes some "in-your-face" grindcore with some nice death metal vibe into, all this with the add of damn funny intros to the songs. Tracks like "Atomic Fart", "Disgusting Piece of Shit", "Lèche Moi les Couilles", "Pubic Hair in the Glasses" and "Toco Loco du Moi" will get stuck into your hears, like they sure did to mine, cool and addicting songs on this grindcore comic madness!

The Epilog:
In all this smashing, yet short debut release from Portuguese party grinders Serrabulho is a must-have release to any grindcore fans and not only, it's an addicting album that will get you into a real good mood! "Ass Troubles" will bring out the "naughty-child" side from you! No wonder one of the bands influences is the absolutely bad-tasted n' hilarious disgusting cartoons Ren & Stimpy! There is still allot to expect on future albums of the band, allot more to come and develop, but for now prepare yourself for some real ass troubles Serrabulho style, without a doubt one of the best Portuguese grindcore releases out to the date, I am sure you will laugh your ass out with this piece of happy death / grindcore... and probably get some ass troubles afterwards!!!
