AKTIV DÖDSHJÄLP BIOGRAPHY

Aktiv Dödshjälp was formed in 2004 by Tomas Nilsson who recently had been introduced to Swedish crust sound. Being overthrown by this new world of extreme music he felt an urge to create a band to explore this new dimension in music.

After several demos, complication albums and a split 7” had been released the majority of the band decided to quite due to the lack of interest, this was in 2006.
Tomas soon recruited new members to the band and wrote the band’s first fullenght album, 4:48 which saw the light of day in the middle of 2007. On this album he focused on mixing crustcore a lot with black metal and death metal elements.

In 2009 Tomas recruited Roberth Karlsson (also known from his work in Scar Symmetry and Facebreaker) to sing on the forthcoming Aktiv Dödshjälp album. By this time Tomas felt that he had explored most of the crustcore sound and started to experiment a lot more with hardcore elements in the songs. The previous tours done with Devian had also affected Tomas way in writing songs.

In 2010 the second fullenght album, Men allting har ett slut, was released and soon got a lot of attentions in Sweden.

After very many years of silence the Swedish Hardcore - Metal - Crust beasts AKTIV DÖDSHJÄLP have recorded a new song. The new song being recorded was already written in 2011 and has been lying and collecting dust ever since. This song has been recorded in Wing Studios with the experienced metal genius Sverker Widgren.
There is no deadline when something should be done, or when it shall be completed since everyone is busy with other bands.

SERRABULHO have revealed the first single for the new album "Porntugal - Portuguese Vagitarian Gastronomy" that will be released on December, 15th by Rotten Roll Rex!
The first single chosen is "Dingleberry Ice Cream", a song with lyrcs in English and Mirandese - Portugal’s second official language, spoken mainly by elders in the bands local region, it that tells the story of a Family Frost ice cream salesman (hence the truck’s typical melody being played with a bagpipe) who worked in Miranda do Douro (known as part of Portugal’s "cold lands"), who became frustrated with his lack of success. One day he decides to “tweak“ the ice cream’s recipe, and suddenly his sales go off the charts!
Ricardo Santos [Velha Gaiteira, Gambuzinos, Trasga, Bizarma and Zaragaitas] plays the bagpipe on the song.

"Porntugal" features a wide variety of guest appearances. Besides the bagpipe, Ricardo Santos also plays rabel (similar to an archaic violin and descendend from the medieval rebec), tarota (a catalan wind instrument, that belongs to the Oboes family), adufe (a portuguese square drum), galician tambourine and vieiras (scallop shells). Manuel Meirinhos [Galandum Galundaina, Trasgo] contributes with additional vocals, sampling and bagpipe.
Freaky, the crazy chihuahua barks (a lot) on the song Os Tintins do Tintin. Also, additional vocals throughout the CD were provided by Susana Lima and Hugo Picamilho [PadariaGang].
Some field recordings captured in loco by ethnomusicologist Tiago Velhinha Pereira & A música portuguesa a gostar dela própria [http://amusicaportuguesaagostardelapropria.org/] were used on the disc.

SERRABULHO also wish to note that a part of the band's twisted aesthetic actually originates from the minds of two young ladies: Susana Catalão, our most beloved lyricist, has penned the vast majority of the songs’ lyrics, delivering some of funniest stories, written in an exquisite way that lets us delve ever-deeper in our craziness. Meanwhile, Marta Peneda’s cover art has been the band’s calling card. Every time we talk to either Susana and Marta about some ideas we had, they return to us with even more deranged concepts than the ones we initially brainstormed. Thank you, girls!

[ENGLISH]: Next edition will be a turning point for us, starting with the fact - and judging by the tickets sales so far - that will be the first time ever in the history of our festival that we will have more foreign friends than portuguese ones attending!

Our line up has gotten a small change, Fleshless had to cancel their appearance due to unforeseen circumstances that are beyond the control of both the festival and the band. However, we decided not to replace them. Estes nomes juntam-se assim aos já anteriormente confirmados Cephalic Carnage, Dead, Inhume, Milking The Goatmachine, Craniotomy, Necrovile, Serrabulho, Cumbeast, Mixomatosis, Slamentation, SpermBloodShit, R.D.B., Basement Torture Killings, Dead Meat, Placenta Powerfist, Rabid Dogs, Braincasket, GutFuck, Vai-te Foder, Sodomized Cadaver, Sadistic Emergency, Ass Deep Tongued, CxBxFxIxHxFxLxFxRxE, Rectal Depravity e Nihility. Os alemães GutFuck tiveram, infelizmente, que cancelar a sua presença.

Recordamos que o evento vai ter lugar nos dias 21 a 23 de Julho, no Rex Bowling Club em Cantahede. Os bilhetes para os 3 dias já estão disponíveis no nosso site www.xxxickenparty.com e têm um custo de 50 euros até ao próximo dia 31 de Maio! Após esta data o preço passa para 55 euros até ao dia 18 de Julho e passará a ser 60 euros à porta no dia. Os bilhetes de cada dia terão o custo de 28 euros e deverão estar disponíveis brevemente, juntamente com os horários das actuações das bandas.

French death/grindcore band Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition (S.C.D.) are returning to Portugal. They are our latest adition to this year's billing, along with the spanish band Gruesome Stuff Relish and Reincarnation and the portuguese groups Shoryuken, Undersave and Burned Blood, thus closing this year's poster!

These new confirmations will join the previously confirmed Cephalic Carnage, Dead, Inhume, Milking The Goatmachine, Craniotomy, Necrovile, Serrabulho, Cumbeast, Mixomatosis, Slamentation, SpermBloodShit, R.D.B., Basement Torture Killings, Dead Meat, Placenta Powerfist, Rabid Dogs, Braincasket, GutFuck, Vai-te Foder, Sodomized Cadaver, Sadistic Emergency, Ass Deep Tongued, CxBxFxIxHxFxLxFxRxE, Rectal Depravity e Nihility. Notice that the previously confirmed GutFuck canceled their presence.

If you are looking for a festival that combines high quality extreme music with a summer party ambiance this is the right festival for you! You will find quality camping just outside the venue, a beautiful beach within short distance and a shuttle bus to take you there, a huge venue with a giant screen, swiming pool,bowling alleys and arcade games to spend extra time.

We remind you that the event will take place from the 21st to the 23rd of July at the Rex Bowling Club in Cantanhede. The early bird 3 days-passes costs 50€ and are available on our website www.xxxickenparty.com until the 31st of May! The price of 55€ applies after that date until the 18th of July. At the door we'll have 3-day tickets for the price of 60€. Single day tickets price is 28€ and should be available soon.
