In the darkest abyss of chaos where time and space are impenetrable, Black
Altar came into existence. It took its earthly shape during blasphemous
Sabbath in the Night of Walpurgia Anno Bastardi 1996, when it was summoned by
the voice of Shadow. He, as the first guardian of Black Altar,
have started an unholy crusade, thus awaking fear and pain among the
hypocritical and hideous christian lambs.
The first stroke into their rotten system of values was a demo entitled "Na
Uroczysku..." which gained a special recognition among several groups of
listeners. It was recorded by Shadow in 1997 at Selani Studio with the
help of Doc, Vader's drummer, in the role of a music engineer and drums
programming. Released under Shadow's own label - Odium Rec., the
first issue of 500 copies was sold out rapidly, making the name of Black
Altar very popular in Poland and in other countries as well.
Where were many musicians involved, however none of them stayed long because
they could not meet Shadow's high musical and ideological requirements.
The turning-point came in the end of 1999 when two new musicians, who just like
Shadow had shown boundless devotion to the Black Metal Art, joined the
band.
In December 2000 a new, long-awaited EP entitled "Wrath ov the Gods" was
recorded. Although all the compositions included were rather old, this record
presented a new and more full-fledged face of the band. The EP was released in
2002, once again, by Odium Rec., this time as a limited to 666 copies
hand-numbered with blood split CD with promising band Vesania. In 2003
Odium Rec. re-released "Wrath of the Gods" in the form of limited to
500 copies, hand-numbered with corpse blood, 7" EP.
In September 2003 at Selani Studio Black Altar recorded their debut album
entitled "Black Altar". It was a great improvement in the development of
the band. All the compositions show an enormous potential of Black Altar.
The new hymns are still more extreme and more technical. They reveal the unknown
regions of Black Metal - an Art destined for the privileged. "Black
Altar" was mixed and mastered at Studio X. For the track "Fire
ov Immortal Self" a professional video was recorded. In April 2004 the
material is released in the form of CD and a gate-fold LP by the German
Christhunt Productions. Odium Rec. releases a limited to 666 copies
hand-numbered with corpse blood cassette version of "Black Altar".
After releasing the debut album Shadow parts with his musicians and as of
that moment Black Altar became a one-man band.
In 2006 WarKult Prod from Peru released remastered version of Black
Altar "Wrath ov the Gods" (with 4 bonus tracks) as split,slip case cd, with
Nebular Mystic (Nor).
In October 2006 Black Altar finished, at very good Studio X, record
session of their second album called "Death Fanaticism". It's a killer
Black Metal Holocaust! This unholy Masterpiece ov Black Art was unleashed as cd
in March 2008 under the wings of Odium Rex and as gatefold Lp version by
Antichristian Front Rec from Spain.
In July 2010 Black Altar recorded tracks for mini album “Suicidal
Salvation” and for split Black Altar/Varathron/Thornspawn.
In January 2013 Black Altar / Varathron / Thornspawn split was finally
unleashed by Odium Records as jewel case cd version, as a deluxe gatefold
vinyl limited to 350 copies on black and to 150 copies on clear vinyl by
Floga Rec/Hellsfire Rec from Greece. Moreover digi book A5 version will be
released about February via Black Saw Prod (Mex) and BlackDeath Coven (USA)
and tape version, limited to 140 copies in cardboard box via RawBlackKult
Prod from Bolivia! There are 3 new tracks of Black Altar +intro and
outro.
In October mini album "Suicidal Salvation" was unleashed by German
Darker than Black as a digi pack and Lp (in 2014). The album includes songs
originally intended for the split with Shining
Next release of Black Altar will be a split with Beastcraft (Nor)
in 2014.

As the majority would know, Obsidian C. is without a doubt one of the
most virtuous and talented guitarists in Norway, his creations are simply jaw
dropping, owner of truly unbelievable technical skills! Now, as it has been
revealed, we know that he is also capable of unleashing some outstanding clean vocals and vociferations,
the last, reminding of Ishan
(Emperor) vocals but in a "Dragonized" way, providing the band "that"
vocal dynamism to step forwards and embrace even more daring grounds. Vyl
drum work is damn tight as hell and some of the fastest and
most versatile I've heard in extreme metal. Wizziac bass and backing
vocals performance complement and fill up Keep of Kalessin sound into daring
musical perfection!
"Epistemology" is a timeless album not to be missed by any Metalhead,
combining in perfection all the best elements of black/death/thrash/power and
heavy metal! Without a doubt one of the best metal albums of 2015! Can't really say
there is any lesser good song on the album. Since the "Cosmic Revelation" instrumental track that introduces us to this
masterly album the listner is hit with smashing tracks one after the other. "The Spiritual Relief" catches the
listeners ears since the first listening, this is an outstanding music with an
epic timeless melody, an illuminated sing-along track that reveals the new
sound of the band with all it's brilliance.
The fury of the Metal Gods has been
unleashed with the power and velocity of "Dark Divinity",
one of the best tracks of the album with one of its most astonishing guitar
solos!
Now it's time to take a
dark ride through "The Grand Design", an addicting and elegant track from
the beginning to it's end, a track craft with a crescent enchanting melody.
With an addicting thrash metal vibe and an
astonishing guitar "finálé" the
ultimate (un)holy city of dead ("Necropolis") is unveiled! "Universal Core"
is another high speed melodic epic track... somehow this powerful and extreme sound is the
core
identity/essence of the band itself!
"Introspection" was the first track I've heard from the new
Keep of
Kalessin work and I must confess I was completely blown away with such
outstanding power and melody carried within this meaningful song, I knew by then
that this new work could easly be their best! "Epistemology" title track is just another colossal epic music, an apotheotic and
memorable song to echo in your ears for a long... long time.
As bonus we have two excellent tracks worth to be mentioned,
"Anima Mundi" is an incredibly
fast track that counts with the guest vocals of the legendary Attila Csihar
(Mayhem), "Novae Ruptis" is just another great track...
raw, fast and dark!
With their mighty "Armada" Keep of Kalessin have achieved an
Norwegian metal elite status,
this has allowed them to develop their musical epic "Kolossus"!
Years after the band has then been crowned with "Reptilian" winged majesty!
Now with this timeless release "Epistemology" the band stands proudly

1993: The now legendary demo on Maxi Cd format, BLOODBATH IN PARADISE,
is circulated within the underground and earns BELPHEGOR the reputation
of an unrepentant, blasting war machine. 1995: The first studio album,
THE LAST SUPPER, is released on Lethal Records and is a welcomed
collection of infernal hymns for their growing fan base. Following their own
path of sin and befitting their ever-evolving anti-religious, anti-life
attitude, BELPHEGOR’s logo gets revamped to incorporate two inverted
crosses completely surrounded by blood representing the slaughter of Christians
and martyrs. 1997: Last Episode Records releases BLUTSABBATH. BELPHEGOR’s
sinister reputation continues to gain momentum.

2000: Stagnation means death! The band spreads their disease once again
via NECRODAEMON TERRORSATHAN, logging yet another volume of blasphemy
added to The Vatican Library. 2002:BELPHEGOR celebrates their
10th anniversary by capturing a live set with songs played even faster than
their original studio recordings on INFERNAL LIVE ORGASM
(released on their own label, Phallelujah Productions).

2003: Produced at Mastersound Studios, BELPHEGOR cram their
high-speed murderous brutality into the 8-track release of LUCIFER INCESTUS,

GOATREICH - FLESHCULT, and later shredding Europe with the infamous
X-Mass Festival and an eighteen dates headliner tour. “We don’t give a fuck
about anything and don’t let anyone talk us into doing anything. Only the music
counts!”

Produced, mixed, and mastered by Andy Classen at Stage One Studio

PESTAPOKALYPSE VI is, on the one hand, a concept album based on The Devil,
Pestilence, and The Apocalypse, and on the other, a lesson in infernology.
Incorporating unconventional harmonies with dynamic execution and monumentally
aggressive vocal work, its multi-language approach (the German verses in
“Bluhtsturm Erotika” are taken from the works of Marquis de Sade &
Goethe; “Sanctus Perversum” defiles the church’s monopoly on Latin)
accurately represents the infernal musical landscape BELPHEGOR
comfortably inhabits.
Accept it: our world is necessarily haunted by evil, and when the armies of the
dead return with their pestilence to annihilate the living, there will be no

BONDAGE GOAT ZOMBIE: BDSM & SATHAN 2008
With their seventh Album, suitably titled BONDAGE GOAT ZOMBIE, the Death/
Black Metal institution crushes all their previous releases! A real massacre of
pounding Death Metal and majestic, hyper fast Black Metal spread out over nine
killer songs full of diabolical possession, and pure darkness! BONDAGE GOAT
ZOMBIE is their most mature effort up to day, this time BELPHEGOR
have managed to melt ultra blastbeats and heaviness to one union.
The Fleischwerk was once again recorded in three sessions form November 2007 to
January 2008 with Andy Classen in the famous Stage One Studios in
Kassel/Germany – guarantying a smashing and powerful production.
The concept of the album is inspired by the infamous Marquis De Sade
(1740 – 1814), giving the lyrics of the album a blessed touch of Evil. As on the
last album, the vocals are held in English, German and Latin. BONDAGE GOAT ZOMBIE is once again a lesson in violence and a true
offering when it comes to crushing Metal with the extra punch in the face.

BALFOR(Ukraine) and they play barbaric black metal, one of the
most successful representatives of the national metal scene by now. Explosive
mixture of black and death metal, flavoured with epic melodic brought BALFOR
fame not only at home, but also far beyond its borders.

BALFOR was formed in
November 1997 in a small town in eastern Ukraine, as a side project of
Thorgeir - vocal/bass/guitar, and guitarist Svart, to play fast, but
melodic, Black Metal. The band released their first album “Volki Severa”
in 2001, and, following a number of personnel changes, and encouraged by the
positive reviews the LP received, Thorgeir decided to concentrate all his
energies on BALFOR and develop the band further. Berowar came in
on bass in November 2005 and the two formed the core of what BALFOR was
to become.
Defining their music as “Barbaric Black Metal” in tribute to the history
of their homeland, BALFOR released their four-track promo “Pure
Barbaric” for free download via a net label in 2006; a move that proved to
be extremely successful in terms of raising the band’s profile and garnering a
substantial following throughout the world. BALFOR’s fan bases, and
reputation, were further increased by various live and festival appearances.
BALFOR today? With the release of the new album “Barbaric Blood”,
it is obvious that founder Thorgeir has developed into a charismatic
front man who is able to switch from aggressive black, to soaring melodic clean
vocals with consummate ease, whilst BALFOR’s effortless ability to cross
the melodic/black/death/extreme metal genres draws to them a diverse range of
fans. “Barbaric Blood” is definitely one of the defining moments in
BALFOR’s career.

Europe in support of their latest album "Crusade:Zero" in March/April

NOVAS CONFIRMAÇÕES PAX JULIA METAL FEST V .
Estão anunciadas mais bandas para o
cartel da edição deste ano.... Hourswill,
colectivo de Lisboa, com uma abordagem Thrash Heavy Metal Progressivo na sua
sonoridade, formaram-se em 2009 e estão a promover o álbum "Inevitable",
editado pela
Etheral Sound Works.
Moonshade, provenientes do Porto, executam uma vertente Death Metal
Melódico, bastante técnico e intrincado, formaram-se em 2010 e estão a
apresentar o segundo EP, denominado "Dream
| Oblivion". Gennoma,
banda sediada em Lisboa, formados em 2012 e practicantes de Death Metal
Progressivo, estão a promover o single do álbum de estreia com nome por revelar,
no seguimento do EP "Time
Desconstruction", editado em 2014.
As próximas confirmações serão divulgadas muito em breve e a formalizar um
cartel fortíssimo para a capital do Baixo Alentejo.

formaram em 1991, que o colectivo se tem vindo a tornar um dos nomes mais

Practicantes de um Death Metal puro e "old school", a banda sediada em Madrid,
Espanha, celebra 24 anos de carreira, e o seu ultimo registo de originais
denominado "Ritual
Zumbi", lançado a 1 Setembro 2013 pela Xtreem Music,
obteve excelentes criticas e foi largamente aclamado pelos fans e revistas da
especialidade, colocando-os num patamar de relevo e confirmando-os mais uma vez
como um dos nomes de topo e a ter em conta na cena Death Metal europeia.

Aktiv Dödshjälp was formed in 2004 by Tomas Nilsson who recently
had been introduced to Swedish crust sound. Being overthrown by this new world
of extreme music he felt an urge to create a band to explore this new dimension
in music.
After several demos, complication albums and a split 7” had been released
the majority of the band decided to quite due to the lack of interest, this was
in 2006. Tomas soon recruited new members to the band and wrote the band’s first
fullenght album, 4:48 which saw the light of day in the middle of 2007.
On this album he focused on mixing crustcore a lot with black metal and death
metal elements.
In 2009 Tomas recruited Roberth Karlsson (also known from his work in
Scar Symmetry and Facebreaker) to sing on the forthcoming Aktiv Dödshjälp
album. By this time Tomas felt that he had explored most of the crustcore
sound and started to experiment a lot more with hardcore elements in the songs.
The previous tours done with Devian had also affected Tomas way in
writing songs.
In 2010 the second fullenght album, Men allting har ett slut, was
released and soon got a lot of attentions in Sweden.

Unstoppable Swedish death metal unit
DEMONICAL, return this spring with a brand new EP. Titled "Black
Flesh Redemption", the release is scheduled for April 24th in Europe and
May 5th in North America via Agonia Records. The cover artwork
created by Kontamination Design is available for viewing above.
Produced and mastered by vocalist Sverker Widgren, the four-track new EP
was recorded in two studios: Amplified (drums) and Wing (rest of the
instruments) between January and February, 2015.
The first new tracks since the release of the acclaimed "Darkness Unbound"
album (2013), deliver the ravishing sounds of HM-2 and razorsharp chants of
Stockholm-style death metal darkness.
DEMONICAL commented further on the new EP by saying: "Basically the
new material continues where Darkness Unbound left us, however, with a
slightly new course to explore when it comes to the musical and visual formula
of the band. But all you loyal followers - old and new - rest assure, we are
still talking about the finest form of pitch black old-school Stockholm-style
death metal that will hit you viciously and victoriously bringing you one step

Dutch black death metal warriors Fenris have released an

Projekt NÖIR
is a musical project conceived and designed by Mário Rodrigues, producer
and owner at
Fatsound.productions, and also guitar player in Karbonsoul, the
death/black metal Portuguese band. This project comes out of the box in the
midst of the 2014’s fall and after 4 inspirational tracks rampaged out from the
dusk.
Since the beginning the idea was to explore darker and colder ambiances with
obscure textures and enlightened melodies and within short weeks Projekt NÖIR
is now considered as an avant-garde and post black/dark metal project.
With this collaboration of Jóhann Örn of the Icelandic black metal band
Dynfari, the world has now a new shade of light, bringing us all a new
