IN-QUEST BIOGRAPHY
"Brutal.Abstract.Melodic.In-Quest"
The new In-Quest album "Made Out Of Negative Matter" is a
fact.
This fifth full length is the result of a 2 year spanning cooperation with
Jochem J. (SplitSecondSound/Textures). Under his supervision, In-Quest
constructed their own studio to compose, record and arrange their new work. The
result was a highly creative environment where songs would grow whilst being
recorded. Eventually the final mix and master were also handled by Jochem
himself at SplitSecondSound.
The new album daringly redefines In-Quest's sonic foundations and
introduces a more melodic, organic and massively layered approach to
songwriting. It could be described as a continuation of technical 'Epileptic'
enthusiasm combined with the disctinct, emotional 'Comatose' fingerprint.
Add to this the originality of the first 2 albums rediscovered, the cold
'Pyroclasm' brutality reinforced with a fresh, artistic & open-minded
avantgarde attitude.
Vengeance, hatred and existential crises are the lyrical key themes that
confront the listener with the phenomenon 'Human' anno 2010. As such,
"Made Out Of Negative Matter" is about mankind, the most unfaithful breed of
animals. To translate this concept into imagery, In-Quest re-approached
Dennis S. (DamnEngine/2004 'Epileptic'). Futuristic and cold, the album
cover shows a metaphorical black hole, sucking up all matter and feeding on it.

IN QUEST NEW TRACK FROM THE NEW ALBUM UNLEASHED!
[13.06.2013]
The Odyssey has begun; 'Neo-Pseudo Existence' is available on our
soundcloud page for everyone to check out. Please add your comments and
spread the word! All feedback & promotion is appreciated.
'Neo-Pseudo Existence' unveils the sound we've been shaping and moulding
over the last couple of months. Reborn, destructive, precise. We deliberately
chose this song to be unleashed first because of its crossover,
insta-neckwrecking, thrashy dynamics.
Embrace thy subsonic collapse as you drown in straightforward, relentless
pummeling with typical
In-Quest off-beat twists hidden in your every corner. Unidentified
flying pieces of lung and vocal chords mangled with hypnotic streaks of
octotonism? Yes sir! It's all there!
In-Quest rehashed baby!
The lyrics deal with lost hope and depression through the eyes of
existentialism. Imagine Sisyphus pushing his stone up the hill into eternity.
Being thrown into our world with no particular reason can indeed sometimes seem
a pointless burden.
Likey, likey and wanna show it? To celebrate this release, we're offering a cool
audio/shirt pack on bandcamp which contains the NPE studio track and a special
accompanying Sisyphus shirt. As a bonus, we've added an unreleased live cover of
Strapping Young Lad's Home Nucleonics. Nifty! Get yours now & support the
band!!
Thanks.

IN-QUEST -BEL- New Album Details Revealed!
IN-QUEST
COUNTRY: BELGIUM
GENRE: AVANTGARDE DEATH METAL
IN-QUEST: NEW ALBUM DETAILS REVEALED!
Belgian progressive death metallers
IN-QUEST have set "8
- The Odyssey Of Eternity" as the title of their new album, scheduled for a
late spring release. The follow-up to 2009's "Made Out Of Negative Matter"
was recorded at Split Second Sound studio with producer Jochem Jacobs
(ex-TEXTURES).
Commented IN-QUEST guitarist Douglas Verhoeven: "As the world
didn't perish in 2012, we are back celebrating our existence' eternity with a
massive concept album. For over a year, these songs and themes have been
distilled and purified into perfection where everything is connected. I am proud
to finally come out with the first of news about our new album. A dense, catchy,
polyrhythmic eight-string cyclic opus which will for sure surprise a lot of our
fans. A new sound, a redefinition or our core elements, and for sure a new form
of aggression. Technical, rich and thick with typical IQ bombastic
riffing, lyrical insanity and hypnotic melody work. Think heavy... beyond heavy!
Insiders have claimed the new album to be the missing link between 'The
Comatose Quandaries' groove and 'Made Out Of Negative Matter'
compositional/technical prowess, all wrapped into one big insane ride."
"8 - The Odyssey of Eternity" track listing:
01. Enter Eternity Of Lethargy
02. Taedium Vitae
03. Elliptical Orbits In Disbelief
04. Reiterated Cycles Of Celestial Spheres
05. Neo-Pseudo Existence
06. Infinite Sleep For The Hollow
07. The Algorhythmic Alignments
08. Yearn To Return [Liquidation Fails]
The third in a series of webisodes featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the
studio can be seen below.
