SUSPERIA NEWS UPDATE!

Norwegian blackened thrash/heavy metallers SUSPERIA have parted ways with founding bassist Memnock and singer Dagon. The decision was made last week. The band wishes them both good luck on other projects as in life in general.

Cyrus founding guitarist comments: “Sometimes it is better to go separate ways to regain inspiration, future progression and expectations on a same level. SUSPERIA is very much alive when it comes to writing new songs and will still make the musical landscape we always have done. That being said, we are not focused on live shows unless there is something we find interesting”.

Next up will be the show in Larvik at the SPETAKKEL FESTIVAL and Athera will be back once more on stage with SUSPERIA. The band are also happy to welcome Lars Fredriksen on bass guitar for this show, which we are very excited about.

Athera founding singer comments: "So I guess the cat's out of the bag.. It's been almost 5 years since my departure from my beloved band that I've played in for half my life. Thanks to Bernt Fjellestad for carrying the torch for a while.
I will return to the stage tomorrow at the Spetakkel Festival in Larvik, Norway. Been doing rehearsals for 3 weeks now, with constant goosebumps. The band has never sounded better if you ask me. Looking forward to tear down the stage tomorrow during our headliner spot, hope to see you there!
It's been too long... Feels good to be back."

Ave from Abtenau/ Österreich where BELPHEGOR rehearsed the last few weeks to get the new line-up precise for the upcoming Rituals in 2015.

Serpenth says: "First off, thanks goes out to Marthyn and Schoft for spreading extreme musick with us all over the world. Well, It was about time to change the touring line up for 2015 to guarantee the people massive, intense shows. The Switzerland concert next Saturday on 24th will be the first where you will hear new blood on stage. It's great. We can always bring artists into the troop who are full of energy and develop the band’s live Rituals while the core members stay."

Helmuth adds: "Cold - magnificent. Der weiße Rausch!! Hails to my crew and the people who still believe in me and share my visions in creating possessed Musick. An honor – this horror.."

BLACK METALLERS BALFOR ANNOUNCE NEW LINE UP!

Ukrainian Black Metallers BALFOR have announced a line up change that sees virtually the whole band depart, with only frontman and guitarist Thorgeir remaining. Commenting on the reason for such a drastic change, Thorgeir said: “We parted ways for a variety of reasons and we hadn't actually worked together for a very long time. This decision was not an easy one, but it was a necessary one that took into account the needs and interests of all the band members, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the guys for all this time we worked together, it was a great experience! But sometimes a change is necessary if you want to move forward”

With work having begun on the sophomore full-length album, BALFOR’s new line up, which consists of Thorgeir on vocals and guitars, Warider on guitars and backing vocals, Athamas on bass and vocals and Khaoth on drums, marks a new stage in the band’s development, one that Thorgeir is very positive about. “We have been rehearsing together since the beginning of the year, and I am now very sure that the new line up works just as well, if not better, than the previous incarnation of BALFOR, because new blood has brought a fresh perspective to the band’s music and a lot of enthusiasm. Warider, the new guitarist, is quite young, but hugely promising, whilst Khaoth has honed his considerable drumming skills with Dark Metallers KHORS. Athamas brings with him not only the experience he has gained with bands like DEFERUM SACRUM and RAVENTALE, but he is also a great vocalist, which is able to give an additional perspective to the BALFOR sound”.

“We would like you to know that we have decided to continue with the band and keep on doing our job as always. There is still a big hole in our hearts, but we do not want to focus on mourning over the tragedy. Instead we decide to focus on the band and keeping it alive as well as all the ideas we shared with Mortifer. We treat what we do as a mission and we cannot see the end of it. On some shows to come we will be accompanied by Mortifer’s wife Alexandra on bass guitar. She has been in the business for some time and been involved in a few Russian bands before. As an experienced musician, she will undoubtedly manage on the stage with us. On other shows we will be joined by Piotr Kołakowski (Neyra), a talented musician who had previously been on stage with us as a session musician.
