The band comments: ""World Ablaze" tells a story of a man who has lived all his life inside a cage, knowing one day he will be set free and experience the world with its true colours.
Unfortunately he also knows that day will be his last hours alive. It is a song about desire, hope and freedom. A dance between life and death, hope and despair."

Cathartic black metal outfit GAEREA have just released their disturbing torture music video experience for the latest album "Mirage" bonus track "Dormant"!

Would you submit yourself to human torture to go beyond your limits to expressing art?
Voluntary suffering for the greater goal in pursuit of artistic excellence is what one of the members of cathartic black metal band GAEREA went through for the visualisation of "Dormant".

The video (recorded by the great Claudio Marino, distinguished for working with giants like BEHEMOTH, WATAIN, SHINING) simply can’t be classified as a music video to give visualisation to the song. It’s an 8 minute excruciating compilation of being waterboarded, trapped in a cycle of unending pain, with each passing moment feeling like an eternity, time becomes the cruellest enemy.

"Dormant" is a ghost track, a song only available on the (sold out) Media book from their recently released album “Mirage”. Out of billions of people, a mere group of just 1349 holds ownership of this exceptional track.

But no more.

To mark the start of their US tour with WOLFS IN THE THRONE ROOM and BLACK BRAID in October 2023, the band is releasing "Dormant" for all fans to let their minds wander freely and share their suffering.

GAEREA comments: "Complementing the song's aural journey, the video art installation accompanying "Dormant" delves into the anguish and struggle for survival. The visuals depict the main character, trapped and enclosed in a tormenting world, as water relentlessly pours over his body, simulating drowning and suffocation. Cathartic black metal outfit GAEREA are now announcing new tour dates for 2022! Besides their already announced assaults in Ireland with WINTERFYLLETH and Europe with HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY, GAEREA added UK dates to unleash their void upon. 'The Grinning Martyrs' tour will kick of at the Black Heart in London on April 21st and sees the band playing 7 more shows before a final curtain the Dead Wax venue in Birmingham a week later. A full list of confirmed dates can be found below.

GAEREA comment on the tour: "Upon an incredible amount of requests from the British Vortex Front, we are extremely pleased to announce that GAEREA will tour the UK in April 2022! We are ready and eager to unleash all the force and agony accumulated during the Limbo era on this brilliant run together with WODE. The Void’s Hunt never stops!"
