HATE : READY TO ENTER THE STUDIO TO RECORD NEW ALBUM!

Polish Death Metal squadron HATE is preparing to head to the studio in December to record the follow-up to 2017’s “Tremendum.” The new opus, bearing the working title “Salve Ignis,” is tentatively slated for summer 2019 and will be the band’s debut collaboration with the legendary Metal Blade Records. Details are still surfacing, but the band has so far released two raw pre-production tracks: “Path to Arkhen” and “In The Shrine Of Veles”, and have confirmed that production on the finished record will be handled by the talented Wiesławski brothers at Hertz Studio, Poland (Behemoth, Vader, Decapitated, and others). HATE have been praised by press and fans alike for years for creating lacerating and dark music, proven best on their current album ‘Tremendum’ (2017). The album saw ATF Sinner (vocals, guitars) utilize the dark aspects of the mystic and arcane Slavonic folklore to explore themes both personal and impersonal. It is an album that is relatable at first listen, but that is hard to fully know.

The follow-up to 2014's come-back record "Redeeming Filth" will be titled "Doomsday Rituals" and its cover, made by Bahrull Marta of Abomination Imagery.

Surprisingly reunited in 2014 after a nearly eight-year hiatus, the band dosen't want the fans to be kept waiting another near-decade for a new installment. Recordings of "Doomsday Rituals" are taking place at Wing Studios with DEMONICAL's Sverker Widgren, and the whole process is already well in the middle.

Martin Schulman (bass) commented: "Musically the album is a natural follow-up to "Redeeming Filth". Heavy riffing, deep brutal vocals, everything from slow via mid-tempo to faster stuff, a perfect mix of the early 90's Florida and Stockholm sound".

WITCHHAMMER NEWS FOR THE FUTURE TIMES!

When the autumn darkness falls over the land and the cold winter is slowly sneaking in on us, Chapter 4 in the Witchhammer history is about to be written. A new chapter that is darker, harder and more evocative than ever. In anticipation of the new album by the band, (Wich will be launched late winter 2014) Witchhammer is proud to introduce old and new fans to a trilogy of new material based on stories from the MMO 'The Secret World'. "The Secret World" is developed by Funcom, and Witchhammer is one of several known metal bands providing music for the game that was released in 2012. Cooperation with Funcom continues, and together with Adapter studios (video) and Lydmuren A/S (sound) the single and video "Save Me" will be launched in late November 2013.

"Save me" will be followed by "Rising" and "From Hell" in January 2014. The dark and atmospheric trilogy paints a picture of what awaits impatient fans, when Chapter 4 in the Witchhammer story completes during the winter of 2014. Dark, gloomy, hard and brutal are some key words!

Witchhammer has recently been working intensively to obtain a replacement for former vocalist Thomas Arntzen Dahl, who left the band in the beginning of 2013. After months of writing new material and testing of different singers, the band finally found a new frontman and promoter. Sam Natanael is the man who lifts Witchhammer into a new direction, and towards a new era in Norwegian metal history. With a tougher and more brutal voice, old and new stories is presented in line with Witchhammer's basic spirit and intent.

The year 2014 looks to be an exciting year in the Witchhammer story.
While the new album is released, the band focuses on a lot of gigs both in and outside Norway. The story continues ........

'Neo-Pseudo Existence' unveils the sound we've been shaping and moulding over the last couple of months. Reborn, destructive, precise. We deliberately chose this song to be unleashed first because of its crossover, insta-neckwrecking, thrashy dynamics.
Embrace thy subsonic collapse as you drown in straightforward, relentless pummeling with typical In-Quest off-beat twists hidden in your every corner. Unidentified flying pieces of lung and vocal chords mangled with hypnotic streaks of octotonism? Yes sir! It's all there! In-Quest rehashed baby!

The lyrics deal with lost hope and depression through the eyes of existentialism. Imagine Sisyphus pushing his stone up the hill into eternity. Being thrown into our world with no particular reason can indeed sometimes seem a pointless burden.

BLACK METALLERS BALFOR STREAM PRE-PRODUCTION TRACKS!

Ukrainian Black Metallers BALFOR are streaming pre-production versions of two tracks as a demo of what is to come on the band’s sophomore full-length album. “Heralds of the Fall” and “Wolfbreed” were recorded in November 2012 at the Blacklight Studio, Ukraine, with long-time BALFOR producer Dmitry “Yrt Glormkhaoth” Shulgin (VERMIS MYSTERIIS) recording the bass guitars, whilst the band’s former guitarist Alexander “Agnarr” Takhmazov (CONQUEST) recorded guitars. Keyboards are by Ivan Popov (AFTERMOON, INFERNO). It is expected that BALFOR will enter the studio to record the full album in the autumn of this year.

Having recently announced a lineup change that saw all the former members aside from founder and frontman Thorgeir leave the band, BALFOR is set to play its first show with the new lineup of Thorgeir on vocals and guitars, Warider on guitars and backing vocals, Athamas (DEFERUM SACRUM and RAVENTALE) on bass and vocals and Khaoth (KHORS) on drums, on the 23rd June at the Kilkim Zaibu Festival in Lithuania along with bands like DESTRUCTION, TURISAS, EINHERJER and SOLSTAFIR. BALFOR will play a one hour set which will include old and new songs.
