OAK - REVEAL DETAILS OF "LONE" DEBUT ALBUM!

Atmospheric death/doom metal band OAK with GAEREA members are on the verge of releasing their debut full length titled ‘Lone’ to be released worldwide on all formats via Transcending Obscurity Records. OAK fit well alongside their doom metal label mates such as Officium Triste, Jupiterian, Eremit, Drug Honkey, Illimitable Dolor, Et Moriemur, Towards Atlantis Lights, etc.

Label owner Kunal Choksi states, “I’ve had a fantastic experience working with Gaerea and when I came to know that their members are involved in another band playing doom metal called Oak, I was immediately intrigued. Upon listening to their music, it was clear that I had to work with them. Their level of professionalism is maintained over here as well, with everything sounding just the way it should and also careful consideration been given to the artwork and overall aesthetics. Despite being a new band, the members are experienced and know their way around things and I’m sure this will go down as a significant release in the genre in 2019.”

Being friends with Kunal for such a long time and having worked with TOR in the past, it felt very natural to deliver this first experience via the Indian ranks, which never stop to amaze us. Oak is formed by passionate individuals and you can’t often find such committed team to work with. We feel at home. “Lone” is a long journey where you find yourself in the middle of multiple scenarios and you can almost see the landscaping as you hear the gigantic sounds that echo through all of those places. From the burden one could carry to hold this world to the claustrophobic maze that traps your soul, “Lone” was fully produced and mastered at Stone Sound Studios (The Ominous Circle, Colosso, etc,) by Ricardo Oliveira. The majestic cover art was crafted by one of the most talented hands of our time, Paolo Girardi.”

On 24th March the walls of the the ancient chapel of Santiago da Barra trembled with the majestic event that took place there. Portuguese Funeral Doom/Death Metal duo by the name of OAK had the pleasure to share the stage with Bell Witch on the bands first ever live appearance, and a memorable night it sure was!

NO CLEAN SINGING was once again premiering new content from OAK and there are some tips you might want to follow:
"The intensity crests, and what’s left in its wake are final heartbeats and musical ghost-lights, echoing and shimmering across that barren plain in the mind’s eye, beautiful but otherworldly. (...) REVEAL STUDIO LIVE VIDEO RECORDING FOR "SCULPTURES"!

Portuguese Funeral Doom/Death Metal duo by the name of OAK entered Stone Sound Studio in Portugal and made a live recording of a composition called “Sculptures“.

"Sculptures" is the ground shaped by the walk of whom carries the heaviest of burdens. With each step, the feet are buried deeper, being swallowed by the soil. A path that is formed by the passage of a body hollowed out of it's soul, that keeps going through unimaginable pain, never looking back and suffering alone.

“Sculptures” is a musical spellcaster of a high order, one that rises slowly like a haunting mist across a barren plain and then steadily grows in emotional power and intensity. The deep thump and boom of the drums beat like a dying leviathan heart, but the pulse quickens, just as the song’s heart-aching melody becomes more despairing and the vocalist’s grim, cavernous growls become howls of pain.

As the pace subsides again, the mesmerizing guitar reverberations signal the return of a soulful, spectral visitation, eventually joined by a tumbling, rhythmically compulsive drum progression. And then the weight of crushing grief descends like a collapsing mountain — the music becomes staggeringly heavy, and then mounts toward a crescendo of blasting, thundering drums, scything riffs, and ravaging roars.

The intensity crests, and what’s left in its wake are final heartbeats and ghost-lights, echoing and shimmering across that barren plain in the mind’s eye.

Yes indeed, it’s a spellbinding song, but it is still a work in progress. The final version of the song will be included on OAK’s debut album, which is now being recorded in the same Stone Sound Studio in Portugal with sound engineer and producer Ricardo Oliveira (who has worked with Colosso and The Ominous Circle, among others). We’ll be anxiously awaiting its completion.

We’re also happy to report that OAK will be making their first live appearance on March 24th in an ancient chapel in the north of Portugal, with our friends in Bell Witch. Tickets are available HERE.

Belarusian doom/death metallers WOE UNTO ME will release their new double album, "Among The Lightened Skies The Voidness Flashed", on September 29 via Solitude Productions. Menwhile they present the official 360° Lyric Video for the new song, "Triptych: Shiver, Shelter, Shatter". The song features special guest vocalists: Daniel Neagoe (CLOUDS, EYE OF SOLITUDE, SHAPE OF DESPAIR), Patryk Zwoliński (PROGHMA-C, ex-BLINDEAD, ex-NEOLITHIC, ex-ANTIGAMA), Jón Aldará (HAMFERÐ, BARREN EARTH, CLOUDS).

A Belarussian based funeral doom/death metal band WOE UNTO ME has signed a deal with the cult Russian label SOLITUDE PRODUCTIONS (http://solitude-prod.com/) .
The release of the debut album named “A Step Into The Waters Of Forgetfulness” is scheduled for January 2014.
