GENRE: MELODIC BLACK METAL REVEAL NEW SINGLE "I BOTTENLÖS ÄVJA"
FROM THE NEW ALBUM!
[2019.06.28]
The Swedish melodic black metal force of nature WORMWOOD
have revealed today their second single "I BOTTENLÖS ÄVJA" from their new album entitled
"Nattarvet",that will be released by the Swedish label Black
Lodge Records on the 26th of July! The new single feature guest vocals from Mika of the band
Paara.
The band comments
"The famine was not the only thing which reaped those poor souls. The
numerous treacherous bogs out in seemingly serene forests were a death trap for
people unbeknownst to their horror. Join us as we follow the fate of an old
woman as she is slowly devoured by the grasp of the bog."

Tracklist: 01 - Av Lie och Börda 02 - I Bottenlös Ävja 03 - Arctic Light 04 - The Achromatic Road 05 - Sunnas Hädanfärd 06 - Tvehunger 07 - The Isolationist
Compared to 'Ghostlands', our upcoming album
"Nattarvet" will be
darker. There will be stories about famine and how it ravished the Swedish
landscapes in the late 1800-hundreds. Some families fled to new more fertile
grounds, others were not so lucky. They had to bury their family members, eat
crumbles and watch how their childhood home wither and fade away into obscurity.
So join WORMWOOD
again as we embark on a journey together.

THE BAND AND NEW ALBUM:
Poland death black metal titans
HATE have
unleashed their eleventh original full-length album entitled "Auric Gates
of Veles", one of the bands most vicious, barbaric and addictive pieces
to the date.
Extreme metal veterans
HATE
have been one of the biggest influence over the forming of Polish metal
scene back in the nineties.
HATE
have brought to us death black metal classics
such as "Awakening of the Liar", "Anaclasis (...)", "Erebos", "Solarflesh
(...)"
and now
has returned with one of their most mature, direct and solid creation to the
date.
Living up to their name, the band has recreated their
sound and forged one of their most aggressive and ruthless death black
metal pieces of art we heard in the last years!
"Auric Gates
of Veles" is a masterpiece that combines enriching Slavic lore and mysticism
to the bands already demolishing sound. A perfect
combination of dark aspects of the mystic and arcane Slavonic
folklore with death metal scorching sound, something not so common on this
metal genre!
HATEhas never refused to take their sound to the next level and what
the band has done over "Auric Gates of Veles" really takes them
beyond the gates of recognition and puts them as one of the highest
representations of what is being done on metal realms of extremity! Being
one of the most innovative bands out there,
HATEhave gone deeper musically and lyrically into the Slavic lore to
bring fourth one of their best albums of the last years if not career!
No wonder the interest of one of Metal strongest labels (Metal Blade Records)
on the band, which was an explicit
sign of recognition of musical excellence! "Auric Gates of Veles" is a clearer and natural step forwards to the
band's previous release "Tremendum", a new ritual enriched with dark
mysticism that adds to the enraging death metal sound the right dose of
blackness and arcane magic. Still one thing I assure you... expect no
softness on this new album,
"Auric Gates of Veles" may take the old fans of
HATE back in time and remind them of the ruthless
"Awakening of the Liar" release which was a
milestone on the band's storied career. Expect no other
but a wall of sonic destruction combined with some dark ambient elements in the
background in order to enhance the whole cult mystic blackness. A true majestic piece
of death metal devastation combined with a slight black metal ancient
ritualistic atmosphere!
The final studio work at Hertz
Studio (Behemoth, Vader, Decapitated, etc) by
Wiesławski brothers together with the band is about brilliant as it
was to be expected, the impressive final sound is as organic as dynamic,
giving in this way the best sound definition to the whole piece... another
amazing work to come out of that studio!
The cover art and logo revamp byAndrzej
Masianisas well as the layout by
Daniel Rusiłowicz give the whole band concept of Slavic lore the
right visual presentation... primordial, epic and ethereal art!
TRACK-BY-TRACK:
"Auric Gates of Veles" is a colossal piece of extreme metal, both
organic and dynamic sounding from the beginning to it's end. This album
takes the band back into it's death metal roots and unleashes some of the
most aggressive pieces the band has created to the date. There is no lesser
amazing track on this album, I think the whole piece is about brilliant and
astonishing, as a fan of the band since early times I must say that this is
most probably one of
HATE's best albums to the date, this since vicious death metal
combined with slight black metal elements is music for my ears, for me it's the
mark of extreme metal
perfection!
Out from mystical Slavic darkness comes the opening track "Seventh Manvantara",
a blasting savage piece that heralds what is to come, this is such an
intense and breath-taking song, without a doubt one of my personal favourite
tracks of this masterpiece of death black metal.
The tortured ears are hit with no mercy by the following ferocious track
"Triskhelion", which is another merciless song as brutal as addictive,
another of my favourite tracks that shall leave you breathless.
"The Volga's Veins" follows, this is another excellent vicious track
enriched with a dark pagan melodic atmosphere, another barbarous massacre
for your morbid delight!
"Sovereign
Sanctity" which is arguably the album centrepiece is another of my own
personal favourite tracks, a daring epic anthem that will strike you down
like a mighty heathen thunder and capture your full attention, here the
harsh ritualistic black metal elements enrich the whole song and keep you
captive to this Slavonic transcendental dark universe.
"Path to Arkhen" ignites once again the flames of pagan fire and unleash
hell on Earth on another brilliant and frenetic haunting track. Death black
metal can't get much better than this I dare to say! The enigmatic title track "Auric Gates of Veles" with it's
haunting sinister atmosphere slows down the pulse and raises in a crushing
tension. Become part of this dark ritual of fire an death! "Salve Ignis" follows, and with it "all hell breaks loose" once
again, this is an apocalyptic tragic sounding track with such a scorching
sinister surrounding! An ominous bringer of doom! “Generation Sulphur” concludes this piece of art with a rawer black
metal approach, another blazing fast track that brings out Armageddon upon
the tormented listeners!
As bonus tracks we have the two pre-production songs that
HATE recorded before they hitHertz
Studioto record this piece of death black metal art, "In the Shrine of Veles"
is another frenetic fast track that already proved the band's intentions
toward this new album, rawer, barbaric and solid as a rock! "Path to Arkhen"
pre-production is a rawer version of the final product, yet the bass
lines where quite impressive on this pre-production! In fact such a strong
track deserved to be part of the final work... a prize for such epic
brutality!
THE CONCLUSION:
"Auric
Gates of Veles" is one of the best
and most direct creations of
HATEto the date, the mystic enriching Slavonic lore combined with some
of the most demolishing death metal viciousness is about perfect. The band
takes their listeners back to their roots, not only musically but also to
their ancient lands traditions and beliefs, making you to see through the
eyes of the pagan Slavic culture!
"Auric
Gates of Veles" is a both titanic and enriching death black metal experience that puts the
band where they sure belong... which is on top of what is being done on
today's extreme metal sphere, toe-to-toe with bands like Behemoth,
Vader, Dimmu Borgir, etc... Expect no softness, expect no blinding light, "Auric
Gates of Veles"
is some of
HATE's most enraging dark pieces to the date... there is no retreat, no
surrender... HATE IS THE LAW!

NeKronos Promotion is Proud to present the band of the NeKroWeek, they are
DEMONICAL. Without a doubt one of the best Swedish death metal bands of
these days founded by former Centinex members. A band that will surely
please fans of old school death metal.
Show your support and share this info to all your metal brotherhood if you like what you have heard!
Demonical was
spawned in March 2006 - by former Centinex members Johan Jansson (guitars
& vocals), Martin Schulman (bass) and Ronnie Bergerståhl (drums) -
with a mission to return to the roots of death metal and deliver a sheer dose of
darkness and brutality.
The first audio assault - a four track promo attack entitled "Bloodspell
Divine" - was recorded at Necromorbus Studios during July the same
year.
In November 2006 Demonical added vocalist Ludvig Engellau to the
line-up - 'cause Johan wanted to fully concentrate on the six-string axe
- and signed a worldwide multi-album deal with German Cyclone Empire.
The bands first full-length album - "Servants Of The Unlight" - was
recorded at both Black Lounge and Necromorbus Studios during
January and February 2007 and released in April the same year.
In November 2007 Temple of Darkness released a limited Demonical/Absu
7”EP featuring one track from the “Bloodspell Divine” promo.
In December 2007 the band parted ways with vocalist Ludvig Engellau due
to musical and personal reasons. Demonical continued for a few months
with various session vocalists until late March 2008 when Sverker “Widda”
Widgren came on board as the new fulltime frontman.
The bands second full-length album “Hellsworn” was recorded at
Necromorbus Studios between December 2008 and February 2009 and released by
Cyclone Empire in May 2009.
A split 7”EP with Paganizer was released by Cyclone Empire in
early 2010. This limited vinyl featured an exclusive Demonical track
recorded at the “Hellsworn” session.
In September 2010 Demonical once again entered Necromorbus Studios
in order to record “Death Infernal”, their anticipated third full-length
album.
The album was recorded throughout the fall and released in Europe by Cyclone
Empire (April 2011) and in north-America by Metal Blade (July 2011)
as a limited digi-CD, regular CD and limited LP.
The album was praised by fans and media and climbed high at reader-polls in
several magazines.
During the fall 2011 drummer Ronnie Bergerståhl decided to leave the band
due to scheduling conflicts and he was quickly replaced by Fredrik Widigs.
After “Death Infernal” was released the band decided to add a second
guitarist for live situations. A few session members were used at several tours
until Daniel Gustavsson joined as a full-time member during the summer
2012.
The first half of 2013 was spent at both Necromorbus and Wing Studios
in Stockholm with the recordings of the bands fourth album, "Darkness Unbound".
After the recording a line-up change took place with Johan Haglund
replacing Johan Jansson and Ämir Batar replacing Fredrik Widigs. "Darkness
Unbound" was released worldwide in November 2013.
A limited split 7”EP with Nunslaughter, entitled “European Deathcharge”,
was released in July 2014 in support of both bands joint co-headlining tour.
In December 2014 Demonical both parted ways with drummer Ämir Batar and
guitarist Daniel Gustavsson as well as inked a new worldwide deal with
Agonia Records. The first release for their new label-home,a four track MCD
entitled “Black FleshRedemption”, was recorded at Wing Studios in
early 2015 and released in April. The recording featured session members Eki
Kumpulainen on guitar and Kennet Englund on drums.
In early 2017 the band parted with long time vocalist Sverker Widgren,
due to time- and priority related matters, and replaced him with Alexander
Högbom.
At the same time guitarist Eki Kumpulainen and drummer Kennet Englund
became permanent members of Demonical making the band a solid and
stable unity ready for the things to come.
During the fall 2017 Demonical will record their fifth full-length album
- together with a award-winning Swedish producer - for an early 2018 release
through Agonia Records.
Over the years Demonical have played several hundred shows all over
Europe, North America and Russia. The band has done several tours, both as
headline and support, and played tons of festivals, both small and huge ones,
always delivering high quality brutality of finest kind.

Since 1991,
HATE have lived up to their name, responsible for some of the angriest
and most ruthless death metal unleashed upon the world. With 2017's Tremendum,
they took a step toward a darker, more atmospheric, black metal-oriented style
and began exploring Slavonic mysticism, and new album "Auric Gates Of Veles"

Hate has consistently been one of the top billed bands stemming from the
powerful Polish Extreme Metal movement. But Hate's story from their very
early days has never been a simple one. From the early days of Daemon Qui
Fecit Terram and Lord Is Avenger, the journey has been to digest the
world around and attempt to break bread with a reality wherein there are no
restrictions. Where there is no ground to keep you grounded and no church to
keep you unthinking and busy. The first two albums, joined by the third,
Cain’s Way, carried the band through the 90's, wherein they made a name for
themselves both in the national underground and abroad.
Releasing their fourth record, Awakening The Liar, in league with the
fabled French record label, Listenable Records, was an important
milestone in more ways than one. It showed Hate's character as a band in
the sense that it was a very different affair from all three records that came
before it. Cleaner perhaps, but also sharper, more dexterous, the band adapted
over time to their own developing sensibilities and marked a clean-cut
distinction. Hate wasn't, isn't, and won't be, a band afraid to take
their sound to a new place. To explore new ideas.
This notion was further cemented with the release of Anaclasis: A Haunting
Gospel of Malice and Hatred. A powerful testament to a different period in
the band's journey, this 13 years old record is still held by many as one of the
classics of the second era of Hate. This era was marked with versatility
and a rise in prominence that has not halted to this day. It was here that the
band began to reap the fruits of their international popularity. Hate was
now unleashed upon the pond of the world. Their 6th and 7th releases,
Morphosis and Erebos respectively, saw them touring the USA with such
giants as Sepultura and Mayhem, as well as touring Europe and
South America with Rotting Christ, Vader, Hypocrisy and many others.
These happenings soon culminated with Hate's signing to the Austrian
label and Metal powerhouse, Napalm Records. Soon thereafter, Hate
released their first opus in this new environment in the form of Solarflesh:
A Gospel of Radiant Divinity. Solarflesh was everything a fan of the band
could have wanted and more. The record showed not only aggressive and abrasive
music, but music that managed to fully engulf the ideas behind the songs. The
silent choking of hopelessness, the majesty of death and catharsis combined into
an understanding of the void.
But tragedy struck the band seemingly out of nowhere, and this ascension was
brought into a very painful halt. The band's bassist of five years, Sławomir
"Mortifer" Archangielskij, passed away in his sleep on April 6th 2013, only
four days before what would have been his 28th birthday. The band was
distraught, not only have they lost an important component, but also a great
friend who's shadow and spirit still lives on in the band to this very day. A
few months later, joined by current drummer, Paweł "Pavulon" Jaroszewicz
(Vader, Decapitated, Antigama, guest work in Lamb of God, among many others),Hate released their grief into music, and spawned the album Crusade:
Zero. The album offered an interesting, at times beautiful, at times
saddening, view into the madness which is dealing with the death of a young,
close friend. And out of death, came life, and with the leaving of Konrad
"Destroyer" Ramotowski (guitars), the second era of Hate was sealed,
but the third has come to be.
Tremendum was released on the 5th of May, 2017, and it was, again, a game
changer. The album saw ATF Sinner (vocals, guitars) utilise the dark
aspects of the mystic and arcane Slavonic folklore to explore themes both
personal and impersonal. It is an album that is relatable at first listen, but
that is hard to fully know. Reviewers and fans alike praised Tremendum
for not only demonstrating that Hate know exactly how to create
lacerating and dark music, but that the album does justice to topics and themes
not normally drawn upon in the realm of Death Metal.
With Tremendum, ATF Sinner looked both inwards and outwards to create a
piece that not only resonated with his own background, but that sought to
further unearth what lies in the pages of Slavonic Pagan lore. He drew upon the
works of such scholars as Czesław Białczynski, among others, to try and
piece together a coherent understanding rather than a coherent narrative. Less
so about who did what and why, but more about how to see and process through
pagan eyes. How to interpret the world around him, essence and stone, through
the eyes of an ancient culture that laid the foundation to so much of the
Eastern European character. If one were to lift the veil of Christianity,
Catholicism and the Eastern Orthodoxy.
In 2018, we find Hate as ever, advancing. In preparation for what might
be their most fruitful endeavour so far, Hate has chosen to collaborate
with the home of American Metal, Metal Blade Records. Toe to toe with
such legendary acts as Behemoth, Mercyful Fate, and Amon Amarth, Hate is
seeking to cement itself in the stomping grounds of giants. Having released
snippets of what's to come with the "Path to Arkhen" demo-track and a
preview of “In The Shrine Of Veles,” it can be said with some certainty
that Hate isn't a household name just in Poland, but an important part of
the framework of global Extreme Metal. Work on the upcoming album - slated for a
2019 release - is well underway, with more details coming soon.

In the darkest abyss of chaos where time and space are impenetrable, Black
Altar came into existence. It took its earthly shape during blasphemous
Sabbath in the Night of Walpurgia Anno Bastardi 1996, when it was summoned by
the voice of Shadow. He, as the first guardian of Black Altar,
have started an unholy crusade, thus awaking fear and pain among the
hypocritical and hideous christian lambs.
The first stroke into their rotten system of values was a demo entitled "Na
Uroczysku..." which gained a special recognition among several groups of
listeners. It was recorded by Shadow in 1997 at Selani Studio with the
help of Doc, Vader's drummer, in the role of a music engineer and drums
programming. Released under Shadow's own label - Odium Rec., the
first issue of 500 copies was sold out rapidly, making the name of Black
Altar very popular in Poland and in other countries as well.
Where were many musicians involved, however none of them stayed long because
they could not meet Shadow's high musical and ideological requirements.
The turning-point came in the end of 1999 when two new musicians, who just like
Shadow had shown boundless devotion to the Black Metal Art, joined the
band.
In December 2000 a new, long-awaited EP entitled "Wrath ov the Gods" was
recorded. Although all the compositions included were rather old, this record
presented a new and more full-fledged face of the band. The EP was released in
2002, once again, by Odium Rec., this time as a limited to 666 copies
hand-numbered with blood split CD with promising band Vesania. In 2003
Odium Rec. re-released "Wrath of the Gods" in the form of limited to
500 copies, hand-numbered with corpse blood, 7" EP.
In September 2003 at Selani Studio Black Altar recorded their debut album
entitled "Black Altar". It was a great improvement in the development of
the band. All the compositions show an enormous potential of Black Altar.
The new hymns are still more extreme and more technical. They reveal the unknown
regions of Black Metal - an Art destined for the privileged. "Black
Altar" was mixed and mastered at Studio X. For the track "Fire
ov Immortal Self" a professional video was recorded. In April 2004 the
material is released in the form of CD and a gate-fold LP by the German
Christhunt Productions. Odium Rec. releases a limited to 666 copies
hand-numbered with corpse blood cassette version of "Black Altar".
After releasing the debut album Shadow parts with his musicians and as of
that moment Black Altar became a one-man band.
In 2006 WarKult Prod from Peru released remastered version of Black

HATE ON MESSAGE TO THE NORTH TOUR 2019! [2019.06.03]
This September Extreme metal crusaders
HATE, well known for their venomous mixture of black and death metal
style and active since 1990 will break through Baltic Countries and
Scandinavia accompanied by their fellow countrymen the classic death
metallers VADERandTHY DISEASE!
HATEwill be presenting their new opus entitled 'Auric Gates of Veles'
which comes out on 14th June this year!
The shows will take place in Lithuana, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden,
Norway and Denmark. The tour will kick off on 5th September, right after
festival season.
Few more dates are to be added soon and another two support bands will be
announced shortly!
Since 1991,
HATE have lived up to their name, responsible for some of the angriest
and most ruthless death metal unleashed upon the world. With 2017's Tremendum,
they took a step toward a darker, more atmospheric, black metal-oriented style
and began exploring Slavonic mysticism, and new album "Auric Gates Of Veles"
boldly continues in that direction.
"We wanted to go deeper into the subject, both musically and lyrically,"
asserts vocalist/guitarist ATF Sinner. "We also wanted to record a
sharper and better defined rhythm section, a more death metal-oriented one. When
it comes to guitar sound, it was meant to be a wall of sonic destruction with
dark ambient elements in the background." To say that they achieved that
which they set out to create is an understatement, for "Auric Gates Of Veles"
is a titanic record that is both more organic and dynamic sounding, and may well
be the finest of their storied career.
The new album will come out in the following formats -jewelcase-CD -limited edition digipak-CD (EU exclusive - includes 2 bonus tracks) -180g black vinyl (EU exclusive) -slate blue marbled vinyl (EU exclusive - limited to 300 copies) -white / black marbled vinyl (Napalm exclusive - limited to 200 copies) -black / white splatter vinyl (EMP exclusive - limited to 100 copies) -black / white split vinyl (US exclusive - limited to 100 copies) -grey / black marbled vinyl (US exclusive - limited to 300 copies) * exclusive bundles with shirts, plus digital options are also available!

is full of details and symbolism that tell a deeper story. So instead of me

thanks before we start to Błażej Jankowiak and 9LITERFILMY for the
massive work done bringing our united vision to life.”

have revealed today further details on the new album entitled
"Nattarvet",that will be released by the Swedish label Black
Lodge Records on the 26th of July!
The band comments: "The time is nigh, time to announce a new chapter for
us.
After many cold and windy nights, blistering days, through endless blizzards and
reflections in the deep forest, the time is here.
Our new album
"Nattarvet" will be released in 26/7 under the strong and
powerful banner of Black
Lodge.
With formable reputation, shared vision and a deep yearning to deliver
immaculate products, Black
Lodge and WORMWOOD is
the perfect team.
We both believe that
"Nattarvet" will become an album people remember for
decades and because of this mutual understanding, Black
Lodge is more than perfect for us."
WORMWOOD

WORMWOOD 'NATTARVET'
