Tudo começou com uma "brincadeira" e agora estamos crescendo! Desde a primeira edição em 2010 (intitulada de Anibeja Metalfest), o SMSF tem vindo a revelar-se um bom festival no underground nacional, apresentando a cada ano uma diversidade de bandas, sempre com entrada e campismo gratuito. O festival não tem quaisquer fins lucrativos, pelo que se trata apenas de um evento cultural da cidade organizado pela Junta de Freguesia de Santa Maria da Feira, em Beja, e tem vários voluntários a ajudar na sua organização.
Temos presentes em cada uma das nossas edições várias tendas de merchandising e comes e bebes, e todos são bem-vindos!

Everything started with a small festival we organized in August 2010, with four bands, called Anibeja Metalfest. The festival had free entrance and free camping for whoever wanted to come and it was a success in a small town like this! In 2011, the festival's name changed to Santa Maria Summer Fest (SMSF) and it revealed itself as a good festival in the Portuguese underground, presenting its year a diversity of bands, always with the free entrance and free camping bonus! The festival does not profit from anything at all, as it is a cultural event that belongs to the city of Beja, and has many volunteers helping it.
We always have merch, food and drink stands in our festival, and everyone is welcome!
