DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS "Simulacra" has been released by China's biggest metal record label Mort Productions in September 2016. This version features both bonus tracks: "Prince of The East" with special guest appearance by Orion of Behemoth and Vesania fame, and "Somnambulistic Masquarede", a hidden track on the album's Europe / North America version. Available from February 28th on our bandcamp page. The CD will also be available as a bundle with limited China / Taiwan Tour T-shirt !! Check back soon for more details.

"The drawing on the cover depicts a nighthawk (Polish: lelek), a nocturnal bird that was treated with great respect by Slavic tribes in pre-Christian times. Nighthawks were believed to bring souls to this world and take them away from dying people. In that case they gathered in big numbers screeching for long hours. So they were called „messengers of death”. As this album has different Slavic references, we chose Nighthawk as a symbol that best conveys its meaning."

ZORNHEYM UNVEIL THE FIRST COMIC STRIP FOR THE SINGLE "THE OPPOSED"!

Swedish extreme symphonic metallers ZORNHEYM are unveiling the first comic strip from the forthcoming graphic novel that is drawn by talented artist Art by Bring (Märvel, Evil-Lÿn, Satan's Fall). This comic strip is based on the band’s single that was released on the 19th of August 2016. The comic strip travels deeper into the lyrics and takes you further into the story of how patient ZH000A27 ended up at asylum. It also served as the storyboard for the music video/short movie version of the song, which is available to see right now on youtube.

“I had been following Anu on instagram for quite sometime and I was blown away by her skills. I decided to approach her and presented the Zornheym concept. Soon I found myself writing scripts for a comic book that she was drawing.”

“Zorn contacted me a year ago and straight away I was very excited about the possibility of working together. First we were planning to get only a few illustrations done but soon our projects started to expand. It was very natural in its growth as it's been a pleasure to work with Zorn and his stories. Making a comic book has always been my dream and now finally it's becoming coming reality with Zornheym.”

“It may be pretentious to talk about evolution inside our musical genre, this is what Adveniens truly means for us,” elaborates guitarist Enrico Schettino. “Just when we believed that with Cobra Verde we reached a point of no return, our songwriting turned even more dark and monumental. Although we’ll never consider ourselves close to LVCIFYRE, Adversarial, Deathspell Omega, and Akhlys, the influence of this new wave of obscure metal on us these last years has been massive. The result is our most epic death metal effort ever conceived."

“ Stefano Morabito and his 16th Cellar Studio set up a new standard with the production of Adveniens,” he continues. “Never before has our sound reached such a level of uncompromising intensity without sounding forced or overproduced. The maniacal efforts made to perfect every single drum beat, vocal line and guitar chord almost caused a nervous breakdown but it truly paid off.”

“The entire album is a reflection on history and time, on the succession of futile ages, on the role of the poet as soothsayer and witness of the winds of time erasing each one of these ages from the face of the earth. A reflection on Walter Benjamin predicting the ‘adveniens’ of David Cronenberg, on Professor O’Blivion predicting an era when ‘all of us will have special names.’ Adveniens is a violent reflection on art.”
