BALFOR are finally finished with recording and mixing of our new album. Whole process took much more time then we planned, but the result sounds fucking awesome. All the songs are very epic, massive and atmospheric, that puts our music on a new level.
Album been recorded at More Music Studio and mixed in Blacklight Studio, Kyiv, Ukraine.
Also the artwork is in the making, designed by the great Ukrainian artist Nurgeslag, already known by his work with Greek outfit Rotting Christ.
Many thanks to all people involved in the making. We hope to share more details soon.

FINISH RECORDING DRUMS FOR THE NEW ALBUM!!

Mission accomplished!
Comments the DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS drummer, Icanraz: "After 4 days of horrendously hard work I've successfuly managed to finish recording the drums for the new Devilish Impressions album. The session itself has been exceedingly tough and demanding but I have a genuinely constructive impression that it has absolutely put me through the hoops. But... it was to be, wasn't it? After all, it's the record of my life so far! smile emoticon I hereby would like thank Piotr Polak for his outstanding help and mutual inspiration as well as to each and everyone else who in one way or another helped this session run smoothly - Marcin Kralisz, Ilya Stepanov, Kacper Bolesta, Greg Pjonty Walezy. THX!"

Piotr Polak from Dobra 12 Studio comments on working with Icanraz and on how hard they both tried to find possibly the most suitable sound for DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS upcoming 4th full-length album:
"Several weeks before the recording session started I've literally been swamped with tons of Icanraz' questions concerning my work methods, ability to achieve a natural, acoustic sound of drums, questions concerning the choice of equipment, drumheads etc. The problem was that a vision for this particular instrument within the album hadn't been precised at that point. I think I even felt some sort of consternation due to a number of possibilities that eventually turned as large as our mutual music inspirations. Luckily enough, we've had the opportunity to test it all ahead of the session, I mean the drumkit, drumheads and the recording room itself, and this had actually made further work a lot easier. So much for an easy-peasy sort of stuff... All the rest was really hard work, blisters on Icanraz' hands and his blood spluttered on the drumheads smile emoticon However, what really caught me off guard was how much open-minded he was for all kinds of ideas and suggestions. You could notice straight away that he didn't come in just to lay down the tracks for his instrument. On the contrary, he wanted the new material to sound fresh, open and 'breathing' differently from other things being produced nowadays. One thing is clear - low-tuned guitars shall be backed up with a really powerful and a bit old-school, low-sounding rhythm base. Myself, I can't wait for the final version."

HATE RELEASE NEW LYRIC VIDEO!!!

Polish death metal tyrants HATE have unleashed the new lyric video for "Rise Omega The Consequence!". This is the second (after Leviathan) lyric video for a song from "Crusade:Zero". Today you can watch it on Metalunderground and later on Terrorizer!

"Crusade: Zero" is the band's ninth studio release, which was issued via Napalm Records back in January. It was the swan song for departing guitarist Konrad Ramotowski a/k/a Destroyer (who left back in April) and first to feature drummer Pawel Jaroszewicz a/k/a Pavulon behind the kit.

For the lyric video the band commented:
"Finally, we can present the new lyric video for the song „Rise Omega the Consequence!”. We teamed up again with Redpig Production to create this vision of the Universe and magnitude of the energies contained within it - worlds in worlds, cold void and monster explosions. It is like a voyage through aeons of raging darkness and burning cores. The song is about Darklight (OMEGA), illuminating dark energy that permeates every thing. It is also a tribute to Chaos, which is the origin and the end of things. I hope you will find this appealing as much as we do. Hail Tiamat!" Atf Sinner

ATHERA LEAVES SUSPERIA!

Norwegian Heavy / Thrash Metallers Susperia have just announced the departure of their singer Athera, the band commented as it follows:

"As you all know, Athera has left the band. We are still brothers and very good friends.
We wish him all the best in the future.

The new Susperia album is almost done and we have to say that we are very exiting about the new album. It gives us goose bumps when listening through all the songs. It's going to be raw as fuck!
This album will be a mix between Predominance and Unlimited, and for the first time in many years we feel that the music is back to where it should be.

New vocalist will be official after trying out a few hand picked singers." Susperia

The departing singer Athera has commented the day before:

"Ladies and gentlemen. I bid you farewell. At least for a good while. Considering my health situation and lack of progress contributing anything to my beloved band the last few years I have decided to pull myself out of the mix and let the guys continue on without me. We remain the best of friends and this is not a breakup due to any bad circumstances. It's simply me realizing I cannot deliver what you as fans and the band expects of me anymore. And I do not want to hold this brilliant band back anymore. They deserve better and you guys deserve to hear more new music. It is with regret and sadness I now do this, but trust me, it is the best for all parties involved. I am left with a strange feeling. Susperia has been with me for almost half my life and it is my family. So this hurts. But for me staying in the band any further would hurt you guys and the band even more. I don't know what will happen in the future, if they will get a new inspired vocalist or if Memnock will do the vocals (I vote YEAH!!) But something good will come of this in the form of a new album, or maybe even two! Maybe I'll pull the Bruce Dickinson/Rob Halford and make a return one day to the band. But for now I am out guys. I thank you so much for all the support through the years. From the bottom of my broken heart. Sorry we've been away for so long. Susperia will be back. One way or another. All my love and gratefulness." - Athera

Rehearsal for the second recording phase of Zornheym debut album has begun! Leader and concertmeister Petter Möller reported that the first official rehearsal for the Dies Iona Ensembly was a great success. Zornheym expects nothing but the best from these fine musicians.

This past weeks Zornheym has mainly focused on starting the percussion parts. Zornheym should finish the orchestration soon and hopes for the possibility of rounding up a real choir to sing the choir parts.
