Comments the DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS drummer, Icanraz: "After 4 days of horrendously hard work I've successfuly managed to finish recording the drums for the new Devilish Impressions album. The session itself has been exceedingly tough and demanding but I have a genuinely constructive impression that it has absolutely put me through the hoops. But... it was to be, wasn't it? After all, it's the record of my life so far! smile emoticon I hereby would like thank Piotr Polak for his outstanding help and mutual inspiration as well as to each and everyone else who in one way or another helped this session run smoothly - Marcin Kralisz, Ilya Stepanov, Kacper Bolesta, Greg Pjonty Walezy. THX!"

Piotr Polak from Dobra 12 Studio comments on working with Icanraz and on how hard they both tried to find possibly the most suitable sound for DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS upcoming 4th full-length album:
"Several weeks before the recording session started I've literally been swamped with tons of Icanraz' questions concerning my work methods, ability to achieve a natural, acoustic sound of drums, questions concerning the choice of equipment, drumheads etc. The problem was that a vision for this particular instrument within the album hadn't been precised at that point. I think I even felt some sort of consternation due to a number of possibilities that eventually turned as large as our mutual music inspirations. Luckily enough, we've had the opportunity to test it all ahead of the session, I mean the drumkit, drumheads and the recording room itself, and this had actually made further work a lot easier. So much for an easy-peasy sort of stuff... All the rest was really hard work, blisters on Icanraz' hands and his blood spluttered on the drumheads smile emoticon However, what really caught me off guard was how much open-minded he was for all kinds of ideas and suggestions. You could notice straight away that he didn't come in just to lay down the tracks for his instrument. On the contrary, he wanted the new material to sound fresh, open and 'breathing' differently from other things being produced nowadays. One thing is clear - low-tuned guitars shall be backed up with a really powerful and a bit old-school, low-sounding rhythm base. Myself, I can't wait for the final version."



No triggers, no samples, no compressors, NO COMPROMISE!!! Fully acoustic sound of the drums perfectly fits the aura of the new tracks... Stay tuned !!
