DIABOLICAL SEEKING FOR NEW LIVE DRUMMER!

Swedish death black metallers DIABOLICAL are looking for a live drummer to fill in for Pär on our shows from the second half of 2017 and onwards, as he will be unable to travel for some time due to private reasons. To be clear: Pär is not leaving the band and his work with the band upcoming album is above all expectations.

DIABOLICAL are looking for someone with great musical skills who has touring experience, is comfortable playing to programmed click tracks, able to attend rehearsals regularly, able handle basic tech (pads etc.), flexible and a quick learner.

The band is located in Stockholm, Sweden. We will be considering all applications but it's obviously a plus if you are not located on the other side of the planet.

No criminal record that can cause problems applying for visas (you need to be able to travel also outside Europe, incl. USA, Japan etc.).

Please write the band with as much information about yourself as possible; musical background as well as goals and visions with your music. Videos of you playing is appreciated, preferably recent videos that are representative of your level and style as a drummer.

Together with Dies Iona Ensembly and Zornheym’s own bombastic “Chorus Tenebris” choir, they have created the perfect soundtrack to your submission into the Asylum's care.

With magnificent visual artistry in the form of cover art by Pedro Sena - Lordigan and a concept expanding graphic novel illustrated by Art by Bring; with every chapter telling more of the gruesome tales behind each song.

BIOGRAPHY:

In 2014 when Rydsheim, Jothun and Borka wanted to create something together.
Rydsheim and Borka was in a band together called ÅSKFÖDD which had gathered notoriety in the folk scene around Stockholm, Sweden. Jothun had been in various bands before but nothing which caught his interest. The trio started to play black'n roll but lacked a vocalist and a steady second guitarist. After a few months Nine (WITHERSHIN) and Nox (WITHERSHIN, PRAY FOR LOCUST, RIKET) joined and the journey began to take shape.
Together they formed the band WORMWOOD and released their debut EP in 2015, The Void – Stories From the Whispering Well.
A record where they mixed folk, black and rock'n roll. Lyrics based on old Scandinavian folk tales.

With a sense of unfulfillment they began to reshape their sound. After a toilsome year of live performances and creating new music, all of the songs where done and the next step was to record it.
Sverker Widgren (DEMONICAL, DIABOLICAL) was the first choice, so WORMWOOD entered Wing Studios to record Ghostlands – Wounds From a Bleeding Earth (release date in spring 2017). The final product was an ethereal mix of genres, black metal, folk, rock. All this was combined in an atmospherical undertone.

The album was recorded and WORMWOOD released their music video, Godless Serenade, which was shot up in the high north of Sweden, far above the arctic circle. Some of the shot was also done outside of Stockholm, where the director Isak Skagerström lives. The music video was a success and the hunt for a label ensued. After a while, a perfect home was found; Non Serviam Records. They had the perfect vision for WORMWOOD. Fruitful years are surely to come.

2017 will be the year of WORMWOOD. Be a part of this monumental journey. We have such sights to show the world.

OESTE UNDERGROUND FEST II - 2017 @ MALVEIRA
DATA : 4 DE NOVEMBRO 2017 (Sábado)

Realiza-se no próximo dia 4 de Novembro, no Pavilhão Multiusos da Malveira (concelho de Mafra, distrito de Lisboa), a segunda edição do festival de Metal e Hardcore Oeste Underground Fest.

De cariz solidário, dado que visa auxiliar os bombeiros locais, o evento será constituído por 14 bandas portuguesas e estrangeiras, praticantes da melhor música pesada que atualmente se faz na Europa. Numa decisão arrojada, o festival abre-se pela primeira vez à inclusão de grupos estrangeiros.

O alinhamento já se encontra fechado, tendo como cabeças-de-cartaz os alemães Acranius. Antes, ainda, tocam os suíços Enzephalitis (cujo vocalista é Ricardo Proença, ex-Analepsy), os espanhóis Lapidated, os ucranianos sediados em Portugal Yar e os portugueses Raw Decimating Brutality (RDB), Bleeding Display, Sacred Sin, Revolution Within, Dead Meat, Konad, Humanart, Steal Your Crown, Ravensire e Trepid Elucidation, num pacote de luxo que, sem dúvida, irá satisfazer os fãs de Metal e Hardcore.

Na sequência do inegável êxito de que a edição inaugural (realizada a 5 de novembro de 2016) se revestiu , com 259 pagantes, a organização pretende uma vez mais realizar um evento de elevada qualidade, com forte impacto económico na área geográfica em que se insere.

Em simultâneo, é objetivo da organização preservar e exponenciar o espaço que o Oeste Underground Fest notoriamente já conquistou no mapa dos festivais underground em Portugal. Aliás, a realização anual do evento é um objetivo assumido pela organização.

Na edição anterior o evento revelou-se um enorme êxito, trazendo à Malveira cerca de 500 pessoas, entre público, bandas, imprensa e responsáveis de bancas de merchandise, de tal forma que os Bombeiros Voluntários locais ‘’exigiram’’ a realização de muitas mais edições. É para isso que trabalhamos!

Diabolical Death/ Black Metal giants BELPHEGOR will headline European territory once again, this time in support of the new album entitled »TOTENRITUAL«. Release date worldwide is 15. September through Nuclear Blast Entertainment. Supporting bands on this run will be Deströyer 666, Enthroned, NervoChaos and Nordjevel. The hellride will kick off on 28. September in Copenhagen, Denmark at Pumpehuset and conclude 22. October.

Helmuth states: "Our main goal was to forge a brutal and unique tour package. Be prepared for these obscure Totenrituals!"

The artwork will be created once again by Greek artist, Seth Siro Anton who also painted the cover of »PESTAPOKALYPSE VI« in 2006 and »CONJURING THE DEAD« in 2014.

Formed in the year 2000 as a studio project and then as a regular live-band six years later, DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS from Poland is a dominant Black Death metal band that’s quickly pummeling through the genre and making their way to fans and media around the globe.

After already having released their 2012 third studio album “Simulacra” with Lifeforce Records we are very happy to welcome back DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS to the Lifeforce Records roster for the release of their new album “The I”, which is set to come out in late September.

“I’m thrilled to work with Devilish Impressions again to hopefully push the band to the next level. The guys in the band are dedicated hard workers. They know exactly what they want, what is needed to reach their goal and their new album is very big step forward musically. I truly believe we can turn some heads with “The I”! - comments Lifeforce Records owner Stefan Lüedicke.

The title chosen, “The I”, for the record is not only a phonetic acronym of the band’s name, but above all it reflects the manifesto they stand for since the Horde’s inception in the year 2000 – the notion of freedom of choice and will. A supremacy of an individual over any external factors being imposed on us by others, with special emphasis on religion and its convictions, dogmas and paradigms. “The I” is a rebellious manifesto targeted against all those who stand opposed to anything that drives us towards individual perfection.

In 2016, DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS joins the elite roster of New York based EXTREME MANAGEMENT GROUP alongside notable bands such as SUFFOCATION, CATTLE DECAPITATION, ORIGIN, CRYPTOPSY, ATHEIST, RINGS OF SATURN, KING PARROT, INTERNAL BLEEDING and many more. With the newfound partnership, both sides will work together in making the band’s future endeavors the most prominent and impactful with their fans respectively and the rest of the metal genre.

Germany, 1486: The Dominican inquisitors Kramer and Sprenger publish "MALLEUS MALEFICARUM" "The Hammer of the Witches", the most important book on the Headhunt and execution of witches and heretics in medieval Europe. The book features detailed information on how to recognize, judge and execute the witches.
MALLEUS MALEFICARUM was approved by the Catholic Church in the year of 1487.

Norway, 1986: Five guys from the Sarpsborg area in southeast Norway get together to form Withchammer, playing compromiseless thrashy HM with melodic overtones and drawing inspiration to many of their lyrical concepts from the MALLEUS MALEFICARUM, from which the name also is derived. Only this time, the hammer is here to stay... With the classic release of 1487 (vinyl now a sold-out item CD available) and the The Lost Tapes, the book of Witchhammer is continuously in creation..
