BIOGRAPHY:

In 2014 when Rydsheim, Jothun and Borka wanted to create something together.
Rydsheim and Borka was in a band together called ÅSKFÖDD which had gathered notoriety in the folk scene around Stockholm, Sweden. Jothun had been in various bands before but nothing which caught his interest. The trio started to play black'n roll but lacked a vocalist and a steady second guitarist. After a few months Nine (WITHERSHIN) and Nox (WITHERSHIN, PRAY FOR LOCUST, RIKET) joined and the journey began to take shape.
Together they formed the band WORMWOOD and released their debut EP in 2015, The Void – Stories From the Whispering Well.
A record where they mixed folk, black and rock'n roll. Lyrics based on old Scandinavian folk tales.

With a sense of unfulfillment they began to reshape their sound. After a toilsome year of live performances and creating new music, all of the songs where done and the next step was to record it.
Sverker Widgren (DEMONICAL, DIABOLICAL) was the first choice, so WORMWOOD entered Wing Studios to record Ghostlands – Wounds From a Bleeding Earth (release date in spring 2017). The final product was an ethereal mix of genres, black metal, folk, rock. All this was combined in an atmospherical undertone.

The album was recorded and WORMWOOD released their music video, Godless Serenade, which was shot up in the high north of Sweden, far above the arctic circle. Some of the shot was also done outside of Stockholm, where the director Isak Skagerström lives. The music video was a success and the hunt for a label ensued. After a while, a perfect home was found; Non Serviam Records. They had the perfect vision for WORMWOOD. Fruitful years are surely to come.

2017 will be the year of WORMWOOD. Be a part of this monumental journey. We have such sights to show the world.

Pure Scandinavian art with such elaborated and majestic details is beyond impressive to say the least! An album that will hook you up since the very first listening, so addictive that will force you to listen to it again and again! Without any doubts one of the best offers of the genre for 2017, unveiling a promising future for such a young band!

The Band:
Forged in the heathen flames of Rydsheim (Sweden) in 2014, Wormwood emerge with an innovative atmospheric and melodic black metal with all the right dose of folk, rock and experimental music, all to create a very own dynamic sound! Wormwood members past include bands like Åskfödd, Withershin, Riket, etc, yet never before they created such a rock solid folk/heathen sound!
Back in 2015 the band has recorded their debut EP "The Void – Stories From the Whispering Well", a mix of folk, black metal and rock n' roll! Not yet fulfilled, the band has reshaped their sound for their debut full length, creating an outstanding atmospheric black/folk metal piece of art!

"Ghostlands ..." is allot more than just another extreme metal album, it's in fact so well conceived and addictive that quickly shall make you embark on an enriching musical journey from which you shall not forget about!

"Ghostlands ..." has been recorded at Wing Studios by the Swedish extreme metal wizard Sverker Widgren (Demonical, Diabolical, Centinex, etc...) the final result is impressive and enhances the performers talent to the maximum!
Wormwood have found within their musical alchemy the right dose and proportion for each of this album songs finding with it the right balance to keep the listeners captive to the whole piece!
This epic journey starts with the crescent folkish atmospheric intro "Gjallarhornet" that will leads to "The Universe is Dying", a tune with such a timeless melody that's impossible to be indifferent to! On tracks like "Under Hennes Vingslag" or "Oceans" the band dares deeper and combines some experimental elements into their already organic metal fusion, moments of clarity I must say! "Godless Serenade" has been the choice for this album's epic music video, shot far above the Arctic Circle, it's homage to the Scandinavian natural wonders, the song carries a deeply strong epic aura.
Among other tracks there are two memorable folk hymns with such a catchy melody that shall get stuck on your ears, they are "Silverdimmans Återsken" that connects with "Tidh ok Ödhe". Easy to find yourself singing along with such delightful songs... sublime intense tracks like these ones give me shivers on my spine... PRICELESS!!! The fiddle melody by Martin Björklund (Månegarm, Mercury X) and the enchanting female guest vocals by Alexandra "Lalla" Moqvist make all the difference!
One after the other, each track has a very special and contagious positive vibe, melodic folk metal with all the right dose of heaviness and blackness! Tracks like "What We Lost in the Mist" or the ending "To Worship" will let no one indifferent to such epic might and lore!

FACEBREAKER BIOGRAPHY

Facebreaker were formed in 1999, following a conversation between Janne, Roberth, Mikael and Jonas. They had similar music tastes and decided to start a brutal and straight-forward metal band. A few rehearsal-sessions later they added lead guitarist Janos to their line-up.

Facebreakers first demo "Use Your Fist" was recorded at a local studio in the beginning of the new millennium. In March 2001 they went back to the studio to record a promo demo called "Hate and Anger".
2002 U.K. based Rage of Achilles Records got hold of their promo and offered the band a deal. A Rage of Achilles compilation album called "Conquest For The Empire" was out in April, featuring Facebreaker along with other new signings on the label.
In September Janos quit the band due to lack of time. Fortunately they knew a guitar-player named Mika and a line-up change took place.

In June 2003 Facebreaker's promo demo "Hate and Anger" was released on seven-inch vinyl. In July the band entered Black Lounge Studios to record their first full-length album "Bloodred Hell".
"Boodred Hell" was released in the beginning of 2004. It achieved great reviews and feedback all around the world. Unfortunately Rage Of Achilles went out of business somewhere between late 2004 and early 2005 and "Bloodred Hell" was never given the right amount of exposure it deserved.

Without a record-deal Facebreaker made a new promo demo and started to work on new material. Facebreaker got several offers from interested labels but finally choose to work with Singapore based Pulverised Records. 2007 a new record-deal was closed with Pulverised Records and in July the band went back to Jonas Kjellgrens Black Lounge Studios to record their second full-length album "Dead Rotten and Hungry".
2008 Facebreaker released "Dead Rotten and Hungry" through Pulverised Records. The album is being licensed to Cyclone Empire for a limited edit. vinyl release.

Facebreaker plays Party San Open Air in Germany and is getting enthusiastic feedback.
Facebreker does their first European tour in 2009 and a new album starts to take form.
Amazing show at the With Full Force-Open Air Festival in Germany in front of more than 10,000 people. In September, “Bloodred Hell” is being re-released by Cyclone Empire with additional bonus tracks. A new worldwide record deal was signed with Cyclone Empire at the end of 2009.

On the first of January 2010 they started to record the new studio album called ”INFECTED”. cThis time they choose to work together with Jonas Kjellgren at Black Lounge Studios and Peter Tägtgren at ABYSS studios. This is their most brutal and best played album yet, with the intensity and horror that makes them Facebreaker.
...So be Prepared for slaughter !!!
