MORE DETAILS ON THE NEW ALBUM:

»TOTENRITUAL« was recorded at Stage One Studios in Germany and Studio Mischmaschine in Austria. Over three years have passed since the »CONJURING THE DEAD« album was released. »TOTENRITUAL« is now in mixing process by Jason Suecof and is being mastered by Mark Lewis in Florida at Audio Hammer studios.

The artwork will be created once again by Greek artist, Seth Siro Anton who also painted the cover of »PESTAPOKALYPSE VI« in 2006 and »CONJURING THE DEAD« in 2014.

BELPHEGOR REVEAL ALBUM TITLE, RELEASE DATE AND SHOW FIRST TRAILER OF DRUM RECORDINGS!!

European diabolical death/ black metal kings BELPHEGOR have successfully finished the drum tracking and bass recordings for their new sinister masterpiece. This eleventh full length album is to be entitled »TOTENRITUAL« and it will present nine new tracks laced with obscure magick and full of furious brutality on September 15th, worldwide!!

Helmuth states: "It is the most brutally heavy offering we have consecrated thus far. The drums are precise and very technical with loads of breaks, fills and tempo changes. The bass is like a panzer tank. Also the rhythm guitars are complete; utterly aggressive and obscure. I'm really proud of all we have tracked so far and created for the new audial hellspawn."

Helmuth checks in from Sao Paulo airport: “This was our most intense Latin raid so far. What a great experience. It's been tough traveling, 9 different countries, 16 flights in 3 weeks. BELPHEGOR shall return!!”

Serpenth adds: “Soon we will announce many more activities such as summer festivals, trailers from the studio, album title, details regarding producer, the cover artist for the new record and so on. Once we're back in Europe, we re-start working on the new album [release date mid-September 2017]. Also, we will unleash plans for another North American raid in Sept./ Oct., followed by European death-ceremonies in November and Asia December 2017.”

European diabolical Death/ Black Metal commando BELPHEGOR are back in the studio to record their 11th still untitled album! The LP will act as the follow-up to the critically acclaimed 2014 recording »CONJURING THE DEAD«. Expect a release date Mid-September through Nuclear Blast Entertainment, followed by an intense touring cycle worldwide.

Frontman/ founder guitarist Helmuth Lehner announced the latest on BELPHEGOR´s current run in the studio: "Drums and bass guitar have been executed masterfully by Serpenth [bass guitar, screams] and German maniac drummer Bloodhammer. A new chapter, a new challenge."

Serpenth adds: "We've once again created an LP with two different tunings in the manner in which we did »PESTAPOKALYPSE VI« [Oct. 2006]. Added a lot of new elements and structures to our trademark sound and tuned the guitars down to get an even more brutal and obscure guitar tone. These are the most furiously heavy, fierce and superior nine sound collages we have ever written and recorded."
