From the Swedish lands of ancient heathen deities comes the "Silent God"
the latest single of the ultimate symphonic
extreme band by the name of Zornheym. This band is constituted by the
multi-instrumental songwriter Zorn(Aktiv Dödshjalp, ex-Devian)
the singer of a thousand voices Bendler(Facebreaker, Engulfing Rage) the top quality drummer Angst
(Diabolical) and the devilish music arranger and guitarist Scucca(Encrowned). "A Silent God" is part of a complete new horror concept brought fourth by
Zornheym. A complex and extensive work of excellence that is the
materialisation of Zorn's long time deviant Master-plan to create a whole
new symphonic extreme metal theatrical experience!
The whole Zornheym'spiece will surely please adepts of bands such as Dissection, Dimmu Borgir, King Diamond,
Behemoth or Emperor!
Straight out of Zornheim asylum comes another inmate horror tale to be
told! Time for "A Silent God",again another impressive symphonic
extreme metal piece to be featured on the bands debut full-length "Where hatred dwells and darkness reigns".
A complex conceptual album with an outstanding horror story attached to it! This may
remind you of King Diamond
horrid conceptual creations, yet in here the whole album experience will make
symphonic extreme metal adepts go insane, not only for the whole album musically, but
also for all the detail and hard work behind each songs tale to be told!
Since the beginning Zornheym horror story concept is intended to be much more than just
a musical experience, the comic book strip
drawn by
Anu Bring (Märvel, Evil-lÿn, Satan’s fall,etc.) takes each
song to an absolute higher level, a true delight to any
horror story adept! The whole idea is still fresh on an already saturated metal music
industry!
Once you compare "A Silent God" with the debut single "The Opposed"
you can notice that on this new track the vocals take an even more important part
on it, variations from Bendler's
darkest unclean vocals to the clean melodic ones done
by the guest musician Cain Cressall (Cain Cressall, The Amenta) in
addition to the almost omnipresent full choir create an elaborate vocal
structure! Apart from this vocal dynamism the song keeps the
bands essence within its refined and strong orchestral structures featuring a live string section performed by Dies Iona Ensemble,
this sure takes the whole symphonic elements to an absolute new level!
Again a virtuously inspired guitar
solo by Zorn enhances the whole melody into another genius musical peak! In fact "A
Silent God" track has such a heavy melodic balance that quickly becomes
addictive!Impossible to listen to this "catchy" song just for once!
"A Silent God" single cover art was again created by Jens
Rydén (Marduk, Thyrfing) and shows the entrails of Zornheim Asylum.
The single was
recorded at the Wing Studios
in Sweden by the veteran sound wizard Sverker Widgren (Demonical,
Diabolical, October Tide,
Etc.).
With the majestic blend of
both musical and visual creations the band intends to shake
traditional extreme metal grounds with a whole new vision and symphonic experience to
feast both ears and eyes of their fans! "A Silent God" is an excellent expression of how Symphonic extreme
metal was meant to be, melodic but still heavy as hell, this lethal track will

Zornheym is a new symphonic extreme metal band from Stockholm. The

bands like Dissection, Dimmu Borgir, King Diamond, Marduk and Satyricon,
the music is guitar based and backed up by a real string orchestra and 150
voices strong choir! You're gonna be in for a hell of ride when entering their

Right now the band is recording in the Wings studio in Stockholm,
working hard to record their first batch of songs and are very eager to reveal
their symphonies to the world.

Swedish extreme symphonic metallers
ZORNHEYM are releasing today their new single “A Silent God”
through
Non Serviam Records, this song will appear on Zornheym‘s album "Where
Hatred Dwells, And Darkness Reigns", which Non Serviam Records plans
to release this coming winter.
"Regular followers of our putrid site may remember that in August we premiered
this Stockholm band’s first single from the album, “The Opposed“, which
also provided a first glimpse of the album’s concept, which revolves around the
horrors of the Zornheim mental institution and its inmates. When the
album arrives, it will be accompanied by a comic strip created for each track by
artist Anu Bring (Märvel, Evil-lÿn, Satan’s fall). In addition, the music
features a live string section (performed by Dies Iona Ensemble) and a
full choir.
“A Silent God” is both a fast-rushing, hard-jabbing,
adrenaline-triggering rush and a sweepingly panoramic (and sometimes bombastic)
piece of music. It includes hard-punching riffs, swirling guitar melodies, and
weaponized drum attacks — as well as savage vocal ferocity. But the music is
dynamic, breaking the band’s hard-driving charge with an acoustic interlude as
well as soaring clean vocals, in addition to the lofting grandeur of symphonic
strings and a massed choir.
ZORNHEYM is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist and songwriter
Zorn, whose resume includes time with Dark Funeral, Devian, and
another personal project, Aktiv Dödshjälp. The band’s line-up is
completed by vocalist Bendler from Facebreaker, guitarist and
musical arranger Scucca, and Diabolical‘s drummer Angst."

HATE has always meant the essence of extreme and unholy metal, and as such,
had tremendous influence over forming Polish metal scene in the nineties and
nillies. Established in 1990 in Warsaw by a guitarist and vocalist ATF Sinner,
the band has quickly become one of the leading acts in the Polish underground.
HATE's music was always elaborate death metal with lyrics concentrating
on apocalyptic themes, spiritual mysticism and dark part of Self, showing
distinct anti-god attitude. In 1992 the first demo "Abhorrence" was
released by a small underground label HateProductions. After
numerous line-up changes and releasing a series of records available solely in
their native Poland, the group inked their first international record deal with
an American label World War III in 2000. At that point the band was given
an opportunity to leave obscurity of Polish underground in which they remained
for a decade. Soon HATE's early material was published on two discs
titled “Holy Dead Trinity” (2000) and “Cain’s Way" (2002). A year
later, the band signed another contract with French-based label – Listenable,
and released their next, highly acclaimed album “Awakening of the Liar”
(2003), which is considered one of the Polish death metal masterpieces. In 2004
the group was working on an official DVD material titled “the Litanies of
Satan”, which was soon published by Metal Mind Productions. In that
period the band’s style acquired new characteristics - industrial and ambient
elements appeared in the background of the main riffs. This kind of arrangements
were further developed on the next album titled “Anaclasis - a gospel of
malice and hatred” (2005), which no longer presented classical death metal
but ingenious combination of death, black and heavy metal with distinct
industrial influences. “Anaclasis” got great reviews in almost all metal
magazine across Europe and was highly acclaimed as one of the most innovative
records in the genre. In support of the album, the band went on their first
full-fledged European tour with Carpathian Forest and Keep of Kalessin
and appeared on a few important festivals such as PartySan Open Air, Winter
Assault and more. In 2007 the band once again went on a European tour, this
time accompanied by their countrymen Decapitated. January 2008 saw
another album from HATE which was titled “Morphosis” and released
again via Listenable. The record showed fast musical development of the
band, as well as the production part. HATE got offers from numerous
festivals, such as Neurotic Death Fest, Brutal Assault, Screamfest, Metalcamp,
Summer Breeze O.A., Metal Heads’ Mission and more. In May 2008, the group
realized their first official video-clip for the song “Threnody”, which
was shot in an actual coal mine in Silesia/Poland. The album “Morphosis”
has also been officially released in the USA, South America and Russia. The year
2010 saw the band's further development and intensive touring schedule. Their
next album "Erebos" was supported by intensive tours in both Europe and
America with groups such as Hypocrisy, Sepultura, Rotting Christ and Mayhem.
The band also visited Brazil, Mexico and Russia reaching as far east as Siberia
with their shows. Coming back home from the tour, HATE shot their second
official video for the title track "Erebos". In 2012 the group inked a
new record agreement with Austrian-based label Napalm Records. The album
titled "Solarflesh" was released under the new flag in the beginning of
2013 receiving a lot of praise in the music press and gaining the band more
recognition the world over. In March/April 2013 the band was traveling through
Germany on a European tour with Sweden's death metallers Hypocrisy. In
the early morning of April 6th, HATE's bassist Sławek "Mortifier"
Archangielskij died in his sleep near the city of Munchberg. He was
discovered lifeless in the morning by other band members. An ambulance was
immediately called in and Slawek was reanimated, but to no avail. An autopsy
revealed that the cause of death was cardiac arrhythmia. Mortifer's
tragic and unexpected passing was a hard blow and the band's contunuation was at
question for some time. After a few weeks, however, the musicians announced that
they would come back. Having Mortifer's wife Aleksandra on bass
guitar, HATE took part in Hellfest Festival in France in June
2013. Afterwards the band played a series of summer festivals around Europe with
a session bassist and announced that they would work on a new record. In March
2014 HATE set out on a tour across Europe again, this time in the company
of Norway's Kampfar, and in June they entered Hertz Studio in
Poland to start recording the 9-th full-length album with release pegged for
early 2015 through Naplam Records. The new opus will come out under the
title of "Crusade:Zero".

Originally formed in 1997, Fenris has a 14 year history of combining
thunderous viking metal with scorching black metal. At times blindingly fast,
sometimes atmospheric, but always melodic and
dynamic.
With strong roots in Nordic and Germanic mythology, and some of the lyrics in
their mother tongue, the mood set is that of ancient peoples, their hopes and
beliefs and their wars and hardships. To date,
two albums have been released: 'Offerings to the Hunger' (2001) and
'Ordeal' (2005), the last of which was an unsigned release.
In their existence Fenris has shared the stage with Enslaved, Sear
Bliss, Rotting Christ, Tyr, Einherjer, SkyForger and many others.
On the 1st of September 2016 Fenris released their new album ‘...en
doodenakkers tot den horizon’, which is distributed through Snakebite/Rockinc
Entertainment.
