ABOUT SMSF
Born in 2010, Santa Maria Summer Fest (SMSF) has proven itself to be one of the main festivals in the Portuguese Extreme Music Scene. Located in the small city of Beja, the festival helps promote the extreme music culture in the vast region of the Alentejo. It evolved from 4 bands in its first year into something much bigger, with 19 bands being present in its 4th edition. Its first year had the name of "Anibeja Metalfest", but on its second edition, the name was changed to Santa Maria Summer Fest and since then it has been revealing itself to be an excelent offer in Portugal, presenting itself each year with a vast, ecletic choice of bands within the Metal, Rock and Punk genres, always with the bonus of being economically available for just about everyone (with free entrance up to its 4th edition). In 2013, Beja was full of people coming to the festival, with the presence of bands such as DOOM (UK), PROCESS OF GUILT, VxPxOxAxAxWxAxMxC (AT) and GWYDION, the SMSF venue was packed, especially in the day DOOM played. The festival has no means to proit, and since its 2nd edition it has been supporting social causes: firstly, support to local associations and secondly, support to the Portuguese Red Cross and other social institutions. For 2014, the SMSF Crew promises a solid, diverse and certainly extreme bill!

UM FESTIVAL QUE CHEGOU PARA FICAR!
A ‘dar cartas’ desde 2010, o Santa Maria Summer Fest (SMSF) já provou que é um dos pontos de passagem do underground da música extrema nacional. Situado na pequena cidade de Beja, o festival ajuda a promover este tipo de cultura na vasta região do Alentejo. Começou no ano 2010 como nome de Anibeja Metalfest, uma pequena edição com 4 bandas que foi bem recebida entre as pessoas da cidade, e rapidamente cresceu para algo maior. Em 2011, o festival mudou de nome para o actual e desde então que se tem revelado uma excelente oferta no nosso país, apresentando a cada ano uma diversdade eclética de bandas dentro do Metal, Rock e Punk, sempre com o bónus de ser um festival para todos (até 2013 com entrada livre). Em 2013 a afluência foi surpreendente, com a adição de bandas como DOOM (UK), PROCESS OF GUILT, VxPxOxAxAxWxAxMxC (AT) e GWYDION, o Anfiteatro Exterior da Casa da Cultura de Beja esteve muito bem composto, apresentando uma excelente moldura humana (praticamente cheio no dia em que actuaram os DOOM). O festival não tem quaisquer fins lucrativos e apresenta uma causa social adoptada desde a sua 2ª edição: primeiro de apoio às associações da cidade de Beja, e em segundo lugar o apoio à Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa e a outras instituições locais. Em 2014 a organização promete um cartaz sólido, diverso e certamente extremo!

CULTURMAIS – A ASSOCIAÇÃO JUVENIL QUE ORGANIZA O SMSF
Durante as suas 4 primeiras edições, o SMSF foi organizado pela Junta de Freguesia de Santa Maria da Feira de Beja, porém, na sua 5ª edição, a organização ficará a cargo da Associação Juvenil CulturMais, criada propositadamente tendo em vista a continuidade do festival. A CulturMais tem como fim a promoção e divulgação de eventos culturais, nomeadamente música, cinema, teatro, exposições, etc., relativamente aos quais juntará uma vertente de apoio social a diversas instituições, sendo a sua área de intervenção predominantemente Beja, podendo contudo estender-se a outras zonas do distrito e até do país.

O FESTIVAL DE MÚSICA PESADA ONDE A TROIKA NÃO MANDA NADA OU O FESTIVAL ANTI-CRISE / ANTI-TROIKA – UMA REFORMULAÇÃO
Simpáticamente, os festivaleiros atribuíram estes epítetos ao festival. É pois intenção da organização que os mesmos continuem a fazer sentido, contudo, se por um lado se corre o risco de os apoios serem menores, por outro, a qualidade do cartaz, bem como de tudo quanto envolve o festival, vai aumentando. Logo, os custos acrescem. Por esses motivos, a organização fixou um preço de bilhetes altamente competitivo e relativamente ao qual ficarão agradávelmente surpreendidos. CULTURMAIS – THE YOUTH ASSOCIATION THAT ORGANIZES SMSF
During its first 4 editions, SMSF was organized by the local municipality of Santa Maria da Feira, Beja, however, on its 5th edition, the festival will be passed onto
the CulturMais Youth Association, created in view of giving continuation to the SMSF legacy. CulturMais has the objective of producing and promoting cultural events, such as music, cinema, theatre, exhibitions, etc., to which a social cause is added. Its main area of effect is Beja, however, CulturMais also extends itself to other areas of the Alentejo region and even of its country.

THE ANTI-CRISIS FESTIVAL – A REFORMULATION
The SMSF festival-goers have named the event as the “Anti-Crisis Festival”, due to its free entrance policy. It is the intention of the organization that SMSF continues to be the “Anti-Crisis Festival”, however, on the one hand, they have the risk of the monetary support being less every year, and on the other hand, they want to make the festival’s quality grow bigger and bigger, so the organization has decided to have friendly ticket prices in the 5th edition, relatively to which the festival-goers will be satisfied. Those prices will be announced soon.

FENRIS BIOGRAPHY

Originally formed in 1997, Fenris has a 14 year history of combining thunderous viking metal with scorching black metal. At times blindingly fast, sometimes atmospheric, but always melodic and
dynamic.

With strong roots in Nordic and Germanic mythology, and some of the lyrics in their mother tongue, the mood set is that of ancient peoples, their hopes and beliefs and their wars and hardships. To date,
two albums have been released: 'Offerings to the Hunger' (2001) and 'Ordeal' (2005), the last of which was an unsigned release.

Currently Fenris is busy writing songs for their upcoming album.

FACEBREAKER BIOGRAPHY

Facebreaker were formed in 1999, following a conversation between Janne, Roberth, Mikael and Jonas. They had similar music tastes and decided to start a brutal and straight-forward metal band. A few rehearsal-sessions later they added lead guitarist Janos to their line-up. Facebreakers first demo "Use Your Fist" was recorded at a local studio in the beginning of the new millennium.

In March 2001 they went back to the studio to record a promo demo called "Hate and Anger". 2002 U.K. based Rage of Achilles Records got hold of their promo and offered the band a deal. A Rage of Achilles compilation album called "Conquest For The Empire" was out in April, featuring Facebreaker along with other new signings on the label. In September Janos quit the band due to lack of time. Fortunately they knew a guitar-player named Mika and a line-up change took place.

In June 2003 Facebreaker’s promo demo "Hate and Anger" was released on seven-inch vinyl. In July the band entered Black Lounge Studios to record their first full-length album "Bloodred Hell". "Boodred Hell" was released in the beginning of 2004. It achieved great reviews and feedback all around the world. Unfortunately Rage Of Achilles went out of business somewhere between late 2004 and early 2005 and "Bloodred Hell" was never given the right amount of exposure it deserved.

Without a record-deal Facebreaker made a new promo demo and started to work on new material. Facebreaker got several offers from interested labels but finally choose to work with Singapore based Pulverised Records. 2007a new record-deal was closed with Pulverised Records and in July the band went back to Jonas Kjellgrens Black Lounge Studios to record their second full-length album "Dead Rotten and Hungry". 2008 Facebreaker released "Dead Rotten and Hungry" through Pulverised Records. The album is being licensed to Cyclone Empire for a limited edit. vinyl release. Facebreaker plays Party San Open Air in Germany and is getting enthusiastic feedback.

Facebreaker did their first European tour in 2009 and an amazing show at the With Full Force-Open Air Festival in Germany in front of more than 10,000 people. In September, “Bloodred Hell” is being re-released by Cyclone Empire with additional bonus tracks. A new worldwide record deal was signed with Cyclone Empire at the end of 2009.

On the first of January 2010 they started to record their third studio album called ”INFECTED”. This time they choose to work with Jonas Kjellgren at Black Lounge Studios and Peter Tägtgren at ABYSS studios.

“INFECTED” was released in October that same year. The release was followed by gigs and festivals all around Europe, and they did a massive show at the mighty Summer Breeze festival in 2011.

In 2012 they started to work on their upcoming fourth album “DEDICATED TO THE FLESH” and in January 2013 they entered Mr Plec’s The Panic Room Studios to record the drums. The rest was recorded in Slowly Rotting Studios and Crypt of Death Studios in their hometown Finspång and in Mars they went back to The Panic Room to do the mix and mastering. The result speaks for it self, a maximum assault of zombie death metal anger. Released in Europe 28.06.2013 through Cyclone Empire Records.

São revelados os dois ultimos nomes para o cartel do Pax Julia Metal Fest IV ...

Lvnae Lvmen, estão confirmados para a edição deste ano, a organização considera o colectivo bejense como um valor a ter em conta na região e a única banda de Heavy Metal a operar na capital do Baixo Alentejo, combativos executantes de um cruzamento de Black e Death Metal, forjam uma sonoridade bastante original, aplicando inclusive para o efeito elementos tradicionais na sua composição, como a utilização do bandolim e toda uma temática baseada na história de Portugal, suas lendas e mitos, constituindo-se no seu todo como um projecto que merece constar uma segunda vez no cartel do evento, onde terão oportunidade de apresentar material novo e a sua renovada formação!



A organização tem a honra de apresentar Inquisitor, excelentes representantes do puro Speed Thrash Heavy Metal em Portugal, confirma-se que irão marcar presença na quarta edição do festival, formados por elementos da zona de Lisboa e da Margem Sul, o colectivo desde a sua formação que tem vindo a acumular experiência e a gerar consenso entre os “headbangers” portugueses, já com algumas incursões em território espanhol no currículo, a banda revela-se actualmente como um dos máximos expoentes e valores do Heavy Metal mais “old school” e combativo a nível nacional, inspirado nos anos 80 e projectado para o futuro, preparam o seu primeiro disco de longa duração e oportunamente serão reveladas novidades sobre o mesmo!




Como já se referiu previamente, Crystal Viper, provenientes de Katowice, Polónia, é a Banda que irá liderar o cartel da edição deste ano do festival, que promete ser um evento memorável de puro Heavy Metal, na capital do Baixo Alentejo!
A Banda, já com cinco albuns editados, é um dos nomes fortes do Heavy Metal Europeu, formados em 2003 e liderados por Marta Gabriel, vocalista e guitarrista, o colectivo lançou o seu ultimo trabalho na Sexta-Feira 13 Dezembro 2013, o disco intitulado "Possession", cria e aborda a história de uma personagem fictícia, de seu nome "Julia", com temas bastante fortes como We Are Many, Fight Evil With Evil, Mark Of The Horned One, You Will Die You Will Burn, Why Can't You Listen e Julia Is Possessed, o album constitui-se de certa maneira como um trabalho conceptual em redor desta personagem!



Provenientes de Espanha, Madrid, vêm os HEID, colectivo que está a causar sensação, combinando uma sonoridade Black Metal com elementos do folclore castelhano e influências celtas, usando instrumentos tradicionais da região e cantando igualmente em espanhol, a banda acabou de lançar o trabalho "Voces De La Tierra Dormida", e prometem fazer furor nesta primeira visita que fazem a Portugal!



Directamente de Lisboa, teremos os Martelo Negro, quarteto practicante de um Black/Thrash Heavy Metal austero e rude, vincadamente "Old School", desde que lançaram o seu primeiro trabalho denominado "Sortilégio dos Mortos" em 2011, que a banda tem forjado e construído o seu nome por varios palcos do norte a sul do país, e tem vindo a afirmar-se como um dos valores seguros e a ter em conta no panorama "underground" nacional e estão prestes a editar novo trabalho e brevemente serão reveladas mais novidades e pormenores sobre o novo album!



The Unholy, provenientes de Coimbra, são uma das bandas mais promissoras do panorama nacional, liderados por Sara Steel, a banda practica um Heavy Metal com bastante carisma e atitude que vai beber nalguns clássicos chave dos 80s (Vicious Rumors, Chastain, Judas Priest, Liege Lord, Iron Maiden, Hellion, Ravage, Grim Reaper...), muito bem elaborado e imprimindo uma identidade muito própria, a banda viu recentemente ser reeditada a sua demo em formato Vinil pela editora alemã Underground Power Records, e tem recebido críticas muito positivas em vários países da Europa e a nível nacional, por este seu trabalho de apresentação!



DeadlyForce, colectivo practicante de Heavy Metal puro e duro, com um cunho bastante próprio e imprimindo um "feeling" épico nas suas composições, claramente "old school" com algumas influências de Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Dio, W.A.S.P., Angel Witch, Saxon.... a banda é composta por elementos do eixo Seixal/Corroios/Almada e está a preparar o lançamento do seu EP de estreia, cujo Artwork já foi divulgado, prometem-se novidades para breve!




O Pax Julia Metal Fest tem data marcada para a Casa da Cultura de Beja, a 15 Novembro 2014, um Sábado, para realizar e celebrar a sua quarta edição!

Futuramente serão divulgadas mais novidades, deste que foi o primeiro festival dedicado ao Heavy Metal na cidade, e mantêm-se como único no seu propósito, com um âmbito, imagem e impacto forte, com características próprias e interessantes, sendo um género de música que continua a fascinar novas gerações e a renovar a sua base de fans, já com várias décadas de história!

O evento, assim designado por ser o nome da cidade na altura do Império Romano, caracteriza-se por ser um festival em plena época Outonal, cujo objectivo é possibilitar que haja aqui um ponto de passagem ao Sul, para as Bandas tocarem, um respiradouro e artéria fundamental do panorama Heavy Metal nacional!

Com dimensões adaptadas ao meio em que se insere, no interior do Alentejo, em Portugal, um dos países periféricos da Europa, este evento de valor, criado em 2009, que se quer com nível e qualidade, teve a sua génese e início na Casa da Cultura, para servir a comunidade em que se insere, pretende ser um encontro relevante na nossa região e uma mostra, cerimónia e espectáculo anual, do que melhor se faz no âmbito e género de música que a idealização do festival pretende expor!

Scheduled for a May 8th release ‘Adventvs’ EP, a follow up to the critically acclaimed ‘Simulacra’ album (2012), will feature two brand new tracks that perfectly portray the Devilish Impressions present state and its recently re-defined sonic path as well as the group’s 2002 never-published-before demo ‘Eritis sicvt Devs’. Over 60 minutes of the band’s new and old music. ‘Adventvs’ will be available in exclusive digipack edition with a 20-pages booklet wrapped in amazing layout / artworks by Black Moon Design.

Comments the band’s mastermind, Quazarre: “You’ll definitely see a huge distance between the opening tracks of ‘Adventvs’ and those from the ‘Eritis sicvt Devs’ era, especially on a technical level. But hey, that’s the whole point as we’d like to leave you with a glimpse into what Devilish Impressions was doing in the years it was created and compare it to what we do presently. And although ‘Eritis…’ was in a way created to pay homage to all those acts that so strongly influenced our creation, it was also a brave reach out and search for ways to the band’s very individual expression. As for the new songs, not only we have redefined the ideas behind our sonic path but have also come up with a different approach toward the sound and production. We’ve introduced 7-strings guitars and reduced synthesizers to the absolute minimum. Moreover, in order not to spoil a natural groove of the drums, for the first time ever we've decided to use no triggers at all.”

Once again, the band has worked with different sound engineers and used several recording studios to produce the new songs, incl. the famous Hertz Studio (drums – Wieslawski Bros), Icaros Studio (guitars), Flumen Studio (additional synth / fx) and Sound Division Studio (vocals; guitars’ re-amping), where it was also mixed and mastered by Arkadiusz Malczewski (Behemoth, Decapitated, Hate etc.).

Also appearing on the record are Contemplatron - overtone chanting, dril bu (ritual Tibetan hand bell) and Chinese Chau gong as well as Wojciech ‘Flumen’ Kostrzewa (Asgaard) – additional synth / fx.

‘Eritis sicvt Devs’ originally recorded by Paweł Wołczyk at D.J. Wolkos 666 Studio, has been digitally re-mastered at the beginning of 2014.

DIABOLICAL BIOGRAPHY:

Ever since DIABOLICAL was formed in Sundsvall, Sweden, in 1996 the band has caused confusion among the narrow-minded, constantly progressing, refusing to do the expected. Already with their early efforts "Deserts of Desolation" (mini album, 2000) and "Synergy" (2001) DIABOLICAL stood out as something different from the death metal bands coming up at the time, representing something unwilling to be categorized easily. The reception from fans and media was very good, resulting in a lot of coverage in major metal press at the time.

Following the success of the second full-length album "A Thousand Deaths" (2002) the band toured Europe several times in 2002-03 with AMON AMARTH, VOMITORY and DEFLESHED among others, co-headlined Open Hell festival (2002) and Kaltenbach Open Air (2003) and played several other festivals as well. The albums were later re-released in South America, and both albums were released in the USA as well.

2004-2008 the band only did few live appearances mainly due to Widgren’s intense and increasing work schedule producing other bands at his Necromorbus Studio.

But in 2008, after several years of record label related problems, DIABOLICAL returned with full force and delivered a milestone in their discography; taking their innovative death metal a huge step further they plunged the listener into the darkest corners of the human mind, bringing restrained aggression and cravings for vengeance to life in "The Gallery of Bleeding Art". The album received brilliant reviews and was followed by two small but very successful headline tours though Europe.

In January 2011 "Ars Vitae" was released, containing 17 tracks from different parts of the band's career. The newest material was recorded at Necromorbus Studio in 2010, and was again produced by founding band-member Sverker Widgren. The band did several tours between 2010 and 2011 in Europe and Russia in support of "Ars Vitae".

In 2012 an announcement was made that a new album was in the making. Entitled "Neogenesis" it stands out as something truly unique. The album raises the bar for concept albums as it apart from being a music album also is a novel. Uniting every song with a chapter of the book the music, lyrics, storytelling and philiosphy of "Neogenesis" blends together to create a profound experience that will surely leave a deep impression on the listener. "Neogenesis" will be released on the 27th of September 2013.

DEVILISH IMPRESSIONS BIOGRAPHY

Despite having only two albums under their belt Devilish Impressions quickly managed to put their name out there. Critically acclaimed records and intense touring along with some of the biggest names onto the metal scene made them one of the most promising acts on the European map of extreme music. After a row of personal problems that eventually caused several line-up changes and temporary stage absence, the band strikes back with the brand new opus called “Simulacra” and is
now ready to take the scene by storm again.

Considered as one of Poland’s leading and most innovative modern black / death metal acts Devilish Impressions officially started in 2000 as a three-piece, with founding singer / guitarist Quazarre remaining the only member of the original line-up. Marking their presence with the 45-minutes-long “Eritis sicut Deus; Verbum Diaboli Manet in Aeternum; Vox Vespertilio Act I – Moon Var Dies Irae”, self-released in 2002, the band began the process of shaping up its own spirit and self-consciousness, the long-time-hard work on what would later evolve into the epic, extreme music phenomenon as the band is being defined nowadays...

2005 saw them recording “Plurima Mortis Imago”, released in September 2006 on the London-based Conquer Records. The video for the song “SataniChaoSymphony” was shot in London and two months later Devilish Impressions hits the road along with AETERNUS as part of the European “Ageless Void Tour”. In April 2007 they land a direct support slot on MARDUK’s “Swords In The East” Eastern European run. After the successful tours, in May 2007 the group enters Studio X for the 3-monthslong recording session of their second full-length album “Diabolicanos – Act III: Armageddon”. While the record was being mastered by Andy Classen at Stage One Studio,

Devilish Impressions appears at Red Alert Festival in the Crimea, accompanying such acts as SUFFOCATION and VADER. Autumn 2007 sees Devilish Impressions shooting the video for the song “Har-Magedon”, set to promote the „Diabolicanos…” album. At the end of the year, the band sets off for the “Verbum Diaboli Tour”, their first ever headlining run across the Eastern European countries.
The “Diabolicanos...” album, released in January 2008 again on Conquer Records, was widely praised in the international metal press and gave Devilish Impressions the opportunity to open for BEHEMOTH and SUICIDE SILENCE on “The Apostasy European Tour”, and then embark with DISMEMBER for the “UK, Ireland and Northern Ireland Tour”. Meanwhile the group was invited for selected shows of WACKEN ROAD SHOW 2008 yet, due to abovementioned tours having been booked earlier, they eventually managed to join the WRS bill, OVERKILL, TRISTANIA, SAMAEL and ENSLAVED, for a show in Kiev only.

In May 2008 the album comes out in Poland licensed to Empire Records. The same month sees Devilish Impressions joining forces with their home country-mates HATE for their first time ever Polish invasion named “Rebel Angels Tour” being forced to drop off from the tour’s last date, as they had earlier been booked for the special show with SATYRICON in Ukraine.
The summer of 2008 included the band's appearance at Pro Rock Festival while coheadlining with RAGE and at Metal Heads Mission Festival with bands like MOONSPELL, GORGOROTH and SAMAEL to name but a few.

After finishing over a half-year-long touring cycle in support to the “Diabolicanos…” album, Devilish Impressions decide to continue their crusade, despite facing many problems on both, professional and personal levels, leading to further shifts in their line-up and temporary stage absence.

In the middle of 2009, Quazarre began to compose on what would later become the “Diabolicanos...” successor, introducing even more of a thrash and heavy metal influences in the song-writing process, and thus injecting a new dimension of brutality and catchiness in Devilish Impressions’ music. Increasing the use of clean vocals and further development of a melodic side of the new songs, made their sound even more of an epic character, sound that eventually turn into something the band themselves would describe as ‘MUSIC for the EXTREME experiMENTAL generation ONLY’.

In the second half of 2010 Devilish Impressions enters few recording studios, incl. Studio X and Hertz Studio in order to produce their very best opus up-to-date named “Simulacra”. The long-lasting recording session backed up by session synth appearances of Flumen (ASGAARD) and Lestath (METransmissionAL), as well as special guests incl. Orion (BEHEMOTH, VESANIA), Jacek Grecki (LOST SOUL) and Roman (LECTER), resulted in extremely sharp and massive sound of the album, that along with the new songs’ outstanding craftsmanship, breath-taking artworks and lyrical concept based on works of the world’s famous poets makes the “Simulacra” record one of the 2012 must-have metal offers.

NEW GUITARIST ANNOUNCED AND EUROPEAN TOUR WITH DIABOLICAL!

Facebreaker Swedish death metal zombie addicts will be taking part of Neogenesis Tour Fourth Chapter with their country mates Diabolical.
Facebreaker have announded in March that they have parted ways with guitarist Mika Lagrén (Grave). Things were moving in different directions and the decision was mutual. 
The band wished him the best of luck and we know he's going to do great things in his other bands and projects.

Here's Mikas statement: "Due to lack of time I have made the decision to quit playing guitar in Facebreaker. 
I’ve been with my brothers in the band since 2003 and we have had so much fun during these years. Thanx for all the great rocking years guys …….. Love y´all motherfukkers!"

Cold as ice, angry as a horde of Viking warriors, determined like an army fighting for freedom of their homeland, this is a way to define Thunderwar Polish epic death metal band! A damn promising band born in 2013 when a quartet of young metal maniacs combined forces in order not only to pay tribute to their Metal heroes such as Bathory, Unleashed, Dissection, Amon Amarth, but yet to create a Polish epic death metal force that shall prove once again that Poland has something more to say to the Metal world! This attitude and quality has allowed them already to take part of several shows, yet supporting colossus like Amon Amarth, Obituary, etc! A band not to be missed by any fans of bands such as Obituary, Asphyx, Bathory, Dissection, Unleashed among others!

The Birth of Thunder is a proof of the band quality and inspiration. Thunderwar present themselves at best on their debut EP, a refreshed, strong and epic identity sure reveals that this band has allot within themselves to grow up with. If that isn't enough the band decided to work with the best in the field to allow them to cause the strongest impact with their debut EP, in fact let me say that they couldn't pick much better people to work on with, just see, this Ep was mixed and produced by the famous Wieslawscy Bros from Hertz Studio (Behemoth, Vader, Decapitated), granting them a seal of extreme metal quality. The bands logo was designed by the master Christophe Szpajdel (Emperor, Moonspell, Desaster)... and if all that wasn't enough, the cover art for The Birth of Thunder EP  was done by Mario Lopez (Sabbat, Evil Invaders). Still, all could be meaningless if these guys weren't so damn good on what they do. Birth of Thunder is a cold, epic and triumphant piece of metal making you eager for the future band creations!
This mighty Polish quartet is formed by Kamil 'Madness' Mandes who contributed not only with some great bass work, but yet and more impressively unleashed through all the album some outstanding slashed vocals in the vein of those performed by John Tardy (Obituary) or Martin Van Drunen (Asphyx). Witold Ustapiuk guitar leads are simply outstanding and shall make you captive since first listening, combined with Maciej 'Olszak' Olszewski guitar work, both create some solid frozen melodies as well as brutal epic death metal battle-rhythms. Vit Argasiński drum dynamism and tightness has sure given this band the right dose of aggression and power!

The EP works pretty much as a whole, where fast, epic and melodic death metal tracks such as Vimana, Shadows of Lindisfarne combine perfectly with tracks such as the acoustic instrumental The Birth of Thunder, a frozen melodious track that shall echo within your ears and haunt you with ancient Viking tales. The EP ends with Eagle of Glory that is the most direct thrashed death metal track on The Birth of Thunder release.

In all aspects The Birth of Thunder EP from the fresh blooded Thunderwar sure has captured extreme metal adepts attention, proving that this band sure knows what they are doing, creating memorable melodies blended in perfection with aggressive and well structured death metal brutality. The band has set a mark and better to keep their name in memory because their gonna cause impact in the Metal World! Bands like Thunderwar prove that Metal is here for all eternity! Reinventing the steel that will last for a Millenniums to come! This is the birth of the Thunder warriors that shall battle in every Metal War!
